Meh.........poor.........we just were not creative enough around the box and our shooting from range was awful. Just felt pedestrian all afternoon,no
incisive balls into the box and poor delivery from wide, especially down the left flank. Well done Burnley for defending so well, organised and worked
hard. It's early days, new players bedding in etc. Not reading too much into a disappointing afternoon.

Takes a team of rare talent to have 81% possession and to lose 2-0. New players or not there are enough of the old players left. We (Klopp and players) appear to have learnt nothing from previous years.

Both. Imagine the worst possible game under Rodgers and you have hit the nail on the head. Firminho needs to be dropped and play Sturridge and Orii up front.Mane and Coutinho in midfield with Can and Grujic

    Stats dont lie.

26 efforts 5 on target indicates a team bereft of belief and trust in each other who just ran out of ideas after 20mins and lashed individual aimless efforts.

    81% possession.

Well done burnley for merely organising a reasonable defense and while youd be disappointed they didnt control the ball they were gifted 2 goals and could fill gaps and just made it handy for them.

The only two decent players we have are mane and origi.

    Clyne and can are ok..

The rest could be playing championship if one or two careers calls went another way.. henderson.. wijnaldum? Coutinho is so inconsistent. Lovern and mingolet and klavan....and milner at lb???

Just get mane and origi on the pitch

Have to say that this result doesn't surprise me. We nearly capitulated last week after scoring against a weak Arsenal. Should really back Leicester winning today. Our midfield is lightweight, our defence fragile and unprotected.....same old...

Nothing has changed since last year, and I still maintain that is the fault of four players, Mignolet, Moreno, Milner and Henderson. Now I know Migs is only playing due to injuries, but a new leftback has to be an essential purchase before the window shuts. Milner and hendo have a combined IQ of -15 and I just don't know how we can keep on carrying them. Yes Milner is too stupid to get tired and stop trying, but unless he is surrounded by talented, intelligent players, he cannot offer anything, and as Mark lawrenson said, Hendo without the ball=great, with the ball=clueless, but again we just can't afford to carry him, when there are players who can also be good with the ball. It is Hendo and Milner that are draining the confidence of Courtinho and Firmino, and so they are not firing as they should. We need someone in the middle who can put their foot on the ball, look up and pick someone out, who is looking like they have an idea. it is like a pinball game with the ball just bouncing all over the midfield until it flies off and ends up coming down our end for a goal to them.

So for me, Lucas back as soon as, and get a new leftback while dropping Hendo and Milner.

Why? Keep the ball and attack better rather than plan to **** up and recover.

You might as well say buy a RB since that mistake cost us the game, Moreno hasn't cost us any games this season.

he has only played in one and due to that performance was dropped <doh>
me as stated in another thread would play Moreno ahead of Milner at LB but the point stands we should be preventing the **** up not reacting to one which has occurred

The LB position just has to be sorted. We need a first choice LB now.

We've needed a LB for over 2 years now.

Klopp is on record saying that a slow start means nothing......but with that midfield, it will be a very, very long season....
