    Still very excited about the new season, today is a game changer for us. The usual Liverpool form means that Burnley get at least a draw today after us beating a so called bigger club. Can we break this pattern?

    If it's the same old same old i.e. we pass it around with majority possession, launch wave after wave at them lacking any cutting edge, then maybe sneak a fluke goal, possibly two and then switch off and let them right back in it for a draw as we've done for most of the last couple of seasons then i don't think i'll be up for another season watching that. It doesn't have to be perfect yet but there have to be signs of progress to something meaner, more determined and ruthless, tougher and more intelligent, got to be

    I must say we seriously need the win.

    We have the burton game then 3 hard games in a row.

    The leicester home game will be tough with a **** load of distractions on the day with media. The players focus will be tested there.

    I think if after 4 games we have 10 points it will be amazing.

    First home gane played. New stadium blessed and points and cup win in the bag <ok>
