Would anybody be surprised if this was the next headline.

The way the team is falling apart this is no longer a distant possibility.

    Just what's going on,

It looks like the team is falling apart. Our best CB pair for a couple of generations look like going for peanuts and being replaced with almost unknown and untested other team reserve players.

I hope DM knows what he's doing because right now I think we are relegation favourites.

These are dark days for us.

2 seasons ago Southampton sold 4/5 of their best players and were tipped for relegation. They havn't done too bad since. We have a very good manager in charge. KTF.

Is Kone going like? Last I heard from Moyes he was going nowhere and getting a new contract.

Is Djibibibibibi a left sided centre half who had better stats than Kone for last season? (albeit in the Bundesliga which is still a bloody good standard of league). Maybes McNair is the back up between the two of those with O'Shea kept for 4th choice? Certainly sounds like a plausible solution to me.

Kaboul and Kone have been the rock's of Wearside for 4 months but there's no reason for a strong partnership to develop with what we'll be left with.

I'm more pi$$ed about the lack of another striker, M'Vila and an experienced right back not being signed to be worrying about Kaboul who obviously has other reasons for leaving than more cash, if that's the case fair play and good luck to him, he's been excellent since Bournemouth away last season.

The difference (so far) is that Southampton reinvested but I don't see that from SAFC. Let's hope we see some investment soon

A couple of good signings and the odd win here and there is all that is needed to settle the nerves, which are, to put it mildly, twitchy.

Haway man you can count can't you mate? A couple? We've got 15 seniors available for Saturday. So we can't even put a full team and a bench of seniors out for the second game of the season. We need more than a couple mate. Youth should be utilized not relied on.

We need a rb, lb, likely a cb, ideally two cm's and a forward in less than two weeks. That's panic buying in the most expensive half of the window. Going to take more than two signings and a couple of wins(which traditionally we have to wait months for) to stop me twitching. We lack quality in key areas, numbers and the squad is getting weaker and weaker.

    And Sunday after 3:30pm!

My semi-optimism has now been replaced by oh for **** sake after hearing about yet more injuries.

John O'Shea is back to being a guaranteed starter for at least the forseeable, what a sign of progress!

Not off me! I'm an optimist and kind of agree with every Some of what he says.

Kaboul will get **** from me when he returns with Watford. He asked to leave us at the worst possible time. Cock. No sentiment at all. It's not the owners fault he's asked to leave it? Not moyes' fault either. Probably prefers the London life. Bullshit.

Kone turns down a new contract he asked for. So he whinged on and on about it and then turned it down? be interesting to see how that pans out

I think if we're being honest with ourselves, there's only one possible outcome with Kone.
