If Jay is loaned out just as he hits fitness, it is definitely the end of his Saints' career. I will be sad IF it happens as I feel we missed seeing him in his pomp.

Moses wouldn't fit. We're only having an Exodus.

I wouldn't want to go anywhere near Moses - awful, overrated, one-trick-pony of a player IMHO.

Wouldn't say moses is awful. But I think that the fact he has been around enough premier league clubs not as good as us and not impressed any of them to say that he is not on our level.

Well how I see it Beef is that we know what he's capable of. He's a true talent who, if he is to be believed, has actually come back from injury with more pace than he had prior to it. So, why wouldn't you play him? Scared of aggravating an injury? If so, a loan won't solve it so it must be about game time. You loan players out for game time when you don't know how they'll mature. We already know what Jay is all about hence a loan being tremendously odd.

Every player that comes back from a big injury says the same thing tbh. "I am feeling the strongest I have ever been" or " I have come back fitter and faster then ever before". I would love for him to prove me wrong, but from what I have seen it isn't the old Jay out there. I think the biggest problem was him coming back and then getting injured again due to his changed running style. (They changed it a little to take pressure of his knees, but then got a foot injury, because of it).

Just been watching a recent interview with Michael Ballack talking about Bastion Schweinsteiger und his situation at Manu now Jose M has taken over.
Ballack reckons he should find himself a club where he can be happy and have a new challenge!:emoticon-0100-smile I would absolutely love to see him in a Saints shirt,
been a big fan of his for years.....Maybe I'm a bit biased and probably need a reality check?
    Na......I'm just booored.
In other news, there's 10 minutes of light entertainment on YouTube. "The true Geordie`s" put up a new video clip, if anyone's interested.

I agree....at Liverpool and West Ham he lost his way somewhat...I am sure we could find his Wigan form if he came here.

No thanks. Bayern let him go because his ankles are knackered and he can only manage about ten games a season. Which is pretty much what happened. Busted flush.

I think a loan move for Jay would be a good thing. If he can get to the level he was before the injury, we know we can count on him in the future, and if not, we know it's time to part ways.

I don't really have any expectations from him this season so i wouldn't be disappointed to lose him. I liked pre injury Jay, but at te moment i'd be more happy to see who we bring in. In my eyes it's the case of replacing a player from whom we had no contribution in the last two years, with a player who might potentially improve the team.

And we would buy a replacement. Our club is not run by idiots, which was proven time and time again.

Ah yes, it were the Division One title, and then Bridges joined for their first PL campaign. He got 19 that season, though - so I wasn't too far out.

Yep, remembered now. I had it that they'd won the first PL rather than the final Division One. A 19-goal haul, though, in his first season. I mainly remember due to his points winning me my work's Fantasy Football. As in the old school kind via the newspaper.

Yes, I heard Benteke brings in a mean packed lunch, and more than enough to share around the dressing room.
