Mirror says we "won't let him leave until we get a replacement!"

Then again... It is the mirror!!

Moyes has stated that he is unhappy with Sky, as they didn't collaborate the story with Kone before they ran with it. Kone insists he didn't know anything about it
Pick and choose parts of what Moyes said to suit their headline...
Moyes full statement about selling Kone

Moyes said: “The big thing is, we are short of players, whether it be centre-halves or midfield players or full-backs, we are short. I won’t be letting anybody go who I think can contribute to the team. Kone is a big contribution to the team.
“If I think I can do things in other ways, I will think about it, but, at the moment, the market has made it really difficult to do that.”
He added: “Nobody will go until we say so. It will only be on our say so.
“If he stays, then we will honour what was said to him and give him a new contract.”
Moyes again confirmed he had not personally received a transfer request from Kone, saying: “I have had no transfer request. When I showed him the statement, he was very surprised.”

Aye there's holes all over the mirrors and sky's stories. They print and report what they want without finding the facts.

In fact, their "source" is probably my mate Dave from the red lion. He's always talking about football and making ****e up!!

Then couldn't Kone court out the middle men for the money he's so keen on and sue Sky?

Everton transfer news: Lamine Kone offered stunning £50k-a-week deal by Sunderland toward off Ronald Koeman
SUNDERLAND boss David Moyes has offered Lamine Kone a stunning new £50,000-a-week contract in a bid to stop him going to Everton.

Moyes put the fresh terms to the giant centre half yesterday and wants him to commit after turning down a £14 million bid for him.

David Moyes says Lamine Kone has refused a new, improved deal at Sunderland and "arrived in this morning with a bad back."

Why would any other club want a player like that. If I was Koeman I would certainly think twice about signing him after reading that.

This is exactly what I was worried about when the Kaboul news broke last night. Kone is clearly looking to move on too.
We'd have to be daft to believe that Kone and Kaboul had not been speaking to each other about leaving Sunderland.

So that's two new CBs to add to the ever increasing shopping list <doh>

We've got 3 so surely 1 more will do. What an absolute twat. It's alright Moyesy saying he will go when we want but we know the writing is on the wall and he will be gone before the end of the month. Doesn't want to be here and we may as well get the top dollar. Wouldn't be surprised if Everton withdrew their offer and put another in for £12m

Still no sniff of a striker creative midfielder and now we need a CB. Spine of the team in tatters! Most disastrous transfer window ever. Hope Moyesy has more up his sleeve than pienaar

Kone has played his cards now any potential buyer will look on him as "dodgy" to say the least. He may go now but that will always be the underlying thought with anyone who buys him in the future - "whats he gonna demand once we have bought him" very dodgy indeed
