Not606 weekly prediction game - this weeks fixtures

Week 1 scores done and well done to joint winners sfc rich and saint stu who both scored 10 points.

48 entries this week and some tough scores to predict. i think the attendance was lower than expected. officially 25,860 which given the 800 swing either way meant you needed to predict between 25,060 and 26,660. 3points to all who did - rich and stu were closest. a few predicted goalscorers of connolly, lallans and vaughan.

cardiff saint and Fran your predictions were made after the midday deadline. as its the first week i have just voided your points for the fixtures that were early kickoffs and already under way. cardiff i have taken the 2 pts gained in afc wimbledon and coventry fixtures and fran the 3 pts you gained in coventry fixture.

welldone to fatletiss and fran who correctly predicted exact saints score.

Hi everyone, i am happy to run a football prediction game each week similar to one on 606 last year.

I will trial it for August to see what interest there is. Its just a bit of fun each week and you dont have to play each week. There will be a weekly winner and at the end of the month a league winner for the person scoring the most points in that month. For those really competitive ones and ones that can last the pace there will also be an end of season winner for the one who has accumulated the most points over the season. From last season the two to beat are Jacksk1 and last seasons overall winner Saints Alive.

Nice and simple, each week just 6 games to predict the scores + 2 random events to predict. There will always be the Saints and Pompey games to predict, some other championship games and a couple of random fixtures, including this week a visit to our old league 1 and AFC Wimbledons first football league match.

Exact correct score = 3 points
correct result (home win/away win/draw) = 1 point
3 points for each of the 2 other correct predictions.
so a maximum of 24 points to be won - who is the king of predictions

Its not as easy as it looks - out of a possible 24 points, the best weekly total throughout the whole of last season was 16 and some weeks 6pts was enough to win.
