cos Short is a money grabbing ****, and has made his fortune just doing that, would love to do a survey of how many people he has shafted to get where he is just hope we are not on the list but looks like we are

Kone all over again without any basis other than rumour and our concern, or criticism of the club, to keep it fuelled. He should ask Pants what the chances of getting a regular game, or which club is likely to achieve the most.

The rumour is pretty big now mate but..

Being Nostalgic and having optimism, I do hope you are right..

I will always take a shot at Ellis btw, I take a shot at anyone who I think is fake, you will probably get the same vibe the next time you visit the SOL if he is still there..

    I very much doubt it..

Being where I am I am not aware of the feeling against Short within the stadioum but I do talk to people about events regularly. I judge the man on what he has done to sort things out for the club. Brought in managers who have potential which never came through. Then managers with experience and reputation and there was still nothing achieved. Most of that time money has been provided to meet their needs so for me the guy has done his best on both fronts.

The fact that we have not progressed is not all down to him or lack of funding and I am not convinced he is unambitious and using the club for his own financial ends.

That lot in bold my friend is where we differ but it is all about opinions, I have been singing my song against the man for a long time now.

So I will wish you goodnight or good day for you, enjoy your day, keep smiling and be happy..<ok>

A days a short time in football, yet we all love the bloody thing.. ;)

    FFS! Club Statement.

Sunderland AFC can confirm that it has accepted a bid from Watford for Younes Kaboul.

Younes had spoken with David Moyes in recent days, expressing his desire to leave the club for personal reasons.

The club therefore agreed to a request from the player’s representative to be allowed to speak to Watford regarding a move.

An agreement has been reached between the two clubs and the player has been given permission to talk to Watford regarding personal terms.

Speaking about the situation, Younes Kaboul said: “This is not an easy situation for me, but the club and the manager have shown an understanding of my personal circumstances and I am grateful for that.

“The Sunderland fans have supported me fantastically well since I came to the club, they gave me my passion back and I sincerely thank them for that. I hope they understand that I have made this incredibly difficult decision for me."

I accept he should be allowed to leave if he wants to but the fee mentioned would surgest we're too soft in the market. :headbang:

Can't condemn anyone for this. He wants away for personal reasons, an no matter what they are, the club are best getting rid than keeping an unhappy player.

Be interesting to find out on who approached who.

I condemn Short. Fair do's letting Kaboul leave, but we're giving out charity here at 3.5m. Anything shy of 10m is unforgivable as far as I'm concerned in the present climate.

Agreed completely. We're mugs. Newcastle forced Colo to stay when he wanted to move to be with his family IN ARGENTINA ffs, and it worked out alright for them (for a couple of years anyway <laugh>). This prick wants to move to London and we're bending to his whim? **** off, if he's that desperate he can hire a private jet with the muti-million pound salary we're paying him.

The website still has Kaboul on talking about "team spirit is key" Talk about the club being run by amateurs - you could not write a script <doh>

Gutted Kaboul is leaving but to me it sounds like his lass doesn't like the NE.

I just hope to god we sign a good replacement. But the way things are going we will get 3.5 for Kaboul and pay 6-7m for the lad from Blackburn or McNair is already his replacement.

The closer we get to the transfer deadline the more other clubs will have our pants down over transfer fees. IMO we now need at least 5 players before the deadline.
