... he would have been very useful to have brought on at Hull ... he is combative as well as quick, as he showed so many times last season ... last min pen against West Ham .. Snodgrass would not have relished being up against him ...him and Musa linked up incredibly well in that second half against Barca ... Nothing wrong wuth the lad wanting to play ... can't castigate him for that .. hopefully Claudio has put an arm around him and convinced him that he has a future with us, indeed a key role ... if he hasn't, we would have surely cashed in?.
I'll be very pleased if he stays, but not if he's unhappy. Surely a short-term loan would be a good compromise? I'd agree he needs playing time, and with confidence he could be in our first team, I guess it all depends on whether Schlupp feels strongly about playing for us- I know he's been here a long time but Leicester aren't exactly his home-town club.
I'm a fan. Pleased it appears he is staying. Very versatile player who if not starting can have a big impact on tiring defences and who also allows us to change formation.
Claudio on having spoken to Jeff Schlupp: ""He stays with us," said Ranieri. "He is very happy. Jeff wants to stay. "It's important to have good quality players to choose, in this match I need Jeff, or I need Vardy. "He is happy." http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/l...uest-rumours/story-29633458-detail/story.html ... rather contrary to some naughty reporting
