Not one for maximum faith as its Kempton on the All Weather but SMOOTHTALKINRASKAL 8/1 jumped off the page down to a 0-60 handicap for the first time in the 5:15. Peter Crate could run up a sequence with him at some point in low grade handicaps. In the 5:00 at Ripon, I also like the chances of Phil Kirbys supposed second string TRIPLE EIGHT at around the 10/1 mark, who is interesting at 2m on the flat having run over shorter before going on to run well over hurdles just recently.
That terrible old expression ‘calm before the storm’ certainly seems to apply re today’s racing. And cor blimey even the ‘compulsives’ aren’t out with tips today! There may however be a ‘county set’ plot at the weekend. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more…
Would have gone to Ripon today (beautiful up here) but fields of 3 and 4 hardly quicken the pulse. However will make a small investment on Charlton R's 3 runners at the garden track: apparently only his 2nd/3rd/and 4th runners at the track in the last 5 years.
You do know this is my "cliff horse" don't you TC? If I had £200 on at 8's today and it won I would still be down....effing DOG
I think we both said the same thing but I took the politically correct "not one for maximum faith" route
I'll have to put a few shillings on Burauq in the Kempton 5.15 Now the interesting bit! Leicester 6.10 Dean Ivory has a horse entered in this race - SEAVIEW - there has been quite a bit of support for it, it opened at 33/1 on Bet 365 and is currently 6/1. Chelsea? Anyone ? Any info? Also like the chances of Goodwood Moonlight in the 7.10 at Leicester.
Anyone ever seen an athlete being interviewed and they've not talked about how many injuries they've had? Change the sodding record chaps.
Seaview was amongst the horses put up by myracing.com this morning at 50/1. They usually chuck a few at massive prices normally to no avail but it catches the eye that this one has been backed so well
The old plot going nowhere near Sandown Park. Am intrigued though, old boy. What’s the ‘nudge, nudge’ one at this venue then!
Not sure where Buzz goes yet. Not too many suitable races for him. He is in a maiden at Brighton and a handicap at Kempton. The latter would be my preferred option.
At least Dane and not Winston is riding TS. Really like Bobby Wheeler though. TS is gunna pop up n win instead of placing soon though, hopefully today
