Ehab's List of who to charge next: ballboys mascots opposition players for the right to walk on the grass ref and linos built into the ticket price is the cost to run the floodlights - so matches over winter periods will now cost £400.00 per game each
It's £150 apparently. Ironically, the big clubs don't charge for mascots, though we're not the worst, it can be up to £600 at West Ham. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/dec/18/premier-league-clubs-charge-600-children-mascots
Out of all the mental things the Allams have done, this is the one thing that when telling my friends who support other teams really staggers them, even more so than the treatment of u16s and OAPs, despite it only affecting a handful of people, it is just simply unbelievable that a club would do this to their own playing staff!
It's fair enough. Silly bastard needs that £150, it'll just about cover his cost in fuel to get from Swanland to Melton ( that's one way only, it'll be another £150 for the return journey)in that super charged chav mobile he drives. Every penny counts.
It seems the ticket charge for the U21's was only brought in the 2016/17 season. Considering the coin we get following promotion and the fact the stadium has thousands of empty seats, it's simply ridiculous.
What is it that actually determines who is an U21 player? They must be all on pro contracts so who is an U21? Presumably Tymon, Clackstone, Bowen, Olley and Luer are not, since they made the squad, but then Ter Horst must have been one of the next in line but presumably he is counted as one for this purpose. I suppose what I'm getting at is, this whole concept of U21s is an artificial one which has only been introduced relatively recently. There's no firm line that I'm aware of between 1st team and U21. These are pro footballers being charged to watch the team they play for. They're not juniors.
Watching the matches should be seen as part of their football education, maybe this story needs flagging up somewhere nationally to show the idiocy of our owners
Is this true, as someone I know went with Hinchcliffe on Saturday and they didnt pay for their tickets?
