I'm cack handed and cack footed. Maybe you found your true profession in talking shiit, like me. Don't chew yourself out, mate. Some things just come naturally. Works for me.
With Onouha and Perch able to play there, JFH believes we've got sufficient cover. I do hope it has an immediate recall clause just in case though
Neither are proper right backs, and I don't rate Perch at all. He just stood there on Wednesday, and was the man at fault for their second goal !
Furlong was one of the few youngsters who came through from the youth team and made appearances during our last Premiership campaign. He has barely played a match for us since then and again, is sent out on loan. Reece Grego Cox is exactly the same. Both of them played a handful of games for us aged 17/18 but now in their early twenties, they can not break into the team. Where are their career's with QPR going? Do they have a future with us?
It would appear not for Grego Cox. He's not getting a sniff with the first team under JFH, not even on the bench as far as I can recollect. Hopefully Furlong will develop. He was ok against Swindon (apart from his 2 fine headers on goal of course).
I understand Les/JFH don't think he's good enough for us yet (or as good as Ned or Perch) but maybe with another season getting games at lower level.
Whilst it was great Furlong got his taste of first team action I think it was nothing more than a gesture to try and appease a fanbase that was on the verge of hostility towards manager and owners. As we have been starved of any genuine youth talent for so long we are understandably keen to jump on any potential new star. We have to trust the manager though, much as we may question decisions, these guys are professionals and we are not so if people like Furlong, Doughty aren't getting in then surely we have to accept they might not be good enough. I'd add that with Furlong it might be a case of not good enough yet but Doughty has been around a while now so he may have found his level.
THE RETURN OF AUSTIN Report: Everton and Queens Park Rangers target Southampton's Charlie Austin The out of favour Saints striker is reportedly wanted by his former boss atEverton, and former club QPR. please log in to view this image Everton and Queens Park Rangers are considering moves for Southamptonstriker Charlie Austin (above), reports the London Evening Standard. Toffees boss Ronald Koeman brought Austin to St. Mary's in January, but the 27-year-old has made just two starts in that time and began the Claude Puel era on the bench. However, Austin remains highly rated by Koeman, according to the report, and the Dutchman is said to be eyeing him as one of two offensive additions which could potentially pave the way for Romelu Lukaku's departure to Chelsea. Before his £4 million switch to the South Coast, Austin enjoyed a prolific spell at QPR, where he scored 47 goals in 89 appearances. please log in to view this image And the report adds that the R's are considering trying to convince the one-time England call-up to return to Loftus Road on loan, following a promising start to the new campaign which has seen them top the Championship with maximum points from two matches. However, Austin wants to remain in the Premier League, according to the report, which adds that a reunion with Koeman is likely to appeal. please log in to view this image Koeman left Southampton for Everton in July It is claimed that Chelsea's Loic Remy could also end up at Goodison Park, with the Blues reportedly considering adding him to their offer for former player Lukaku (below), who Everton value at £75 million. please log in to view this image http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/08/15/report-everton-and-queens-park-rangers-target-southamptons-charl/page/1/ Not very likely. And would it be good for morale now as we seem to have a good and tight knit unit?
Austin is a very different player to Shane Long but he would get more goals than Long in my opinion. I would be very surprised if Southampton let him go. As much as I would like to see him back at QPR, he deserves to be in the Premiership.
Reported that Hull are after Caulker and Wigan are after Perch. In the super soaraway Sun so may be iffy...
Suppose they have to fill the papers somehow........don't think we actually need Austin now, happy bunch of players all wanting to play for the club, no Billy Big Bollox who thinks they are bigger than the club.......I like what the club is about at the moment.......
Think that is bit harsh on Charlie myself - we got relegated and he waited for a deal that suited him and we was happy to keep him for half a season knowing he could go for nothing at end of last season - lazy journalism most definitely and anyone who thinks we wouldn't be better with Charlie in the team is deluded
Well whatever the arguments of whether he might not fit into our current style of play is irrelevant, we couldn't affords his wages, and there are numerous Prem clubs that would fall over themselves, paying silly money to bring him in.
Agree. I don't think we'd get big boy bollox from Austin, but I would be worried he wouldnt be in the team much due injjury.
