Nobody can deny that klopp said his priority was to fix this woeful defence.... couple poor goals conceded.. really poor and every lfc fan knows we need an lb but none even close to coming ain't good.

Any set piece we are poor enough.

Moreno is a turd of a player.

Klavan is average enough... and apparently matip has a bad ankle for years and missed most of preseason.... same old same old.

But mane is our best player already. By a mile.

We'll see. I saw enough to think they'll be good at home personally. Tbh if they'd scored first we would have had a job on our hands. They didn't give up in that second half either. At home they'll pick up enough points against plenty of teams outside the top 6 imo.

    Wrong on both counts :emoticon-0100-smile
There is no such thing as a "typical" Mourinho team
Bournemouth did actually create 4 or 5 shooting chances in the second half but for some reason didn't take them.

Yes there is. Every manager has his own unique style. Obviously there will be slight differences from club to club due to the difference options available at different clubs but the structure and general attitude of his teams are, and have always been, very similar.

So there are 20 unique styles in the PL, Klopp invented fast pressing (gegenpress) and Pep invented controlled passing (tikitaka) <yikes>
There is only one Big Sam, Pulis etc?

They don't have to be major differences. You seem to have spectacularly missed the point in that regard. Just because you have two managers who like to gegenpress, it doesn't mean the rest of their tactics are going to be exactly the same. Maybe one likes to keep two full backs behind the ball incase they lose possession, other manager likes to have the two full backs bombing forward beyond the ball to make options and stretch the opposition.

Managers (good ones) adjust styles and tactics to suit the players available and the opposition faced, By saying a manger is playing in a typical way you are missing the point <ok>

Have you never read the comments on your board (and others) discussing if the team will set up 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or as a diamond, all with the same manager?
To say any manager has a particular "typical" team is either lazy or ignorant.

It's also evident of someone who's never seen Mourinho manage Real Madrid or Porto. It happens when you just follow the prem tbf.

It's also evidence that people don't actually understand what they watch, it is just so much easier to follow the crowd

The problem is, people confuse the fact that a team have a good defence with being boringly defensive

Well you would do if your own team has a **** defence <laugh>

You're not wrong though, it never occurs to people that even Barcelona at their best a few years ago had the best defence around. Mourinho at Real Madrid played expansive attacking football... in the league and CL but with a solid defence. As anyone who watched them or can be bothered to look up the stats knows. But hey, lets tar everything with the chavbus brush!

Mourinho has ALWAYS favoured counter attacking away from home. Even at Real Madrid, maybe you should read up on his time at Real Madrid and educate yourself on what he was actually doing. They were one of the best counter attacking teams in football, there is no shame in the fact that he isn't Guardiola.

I think you two (and Man Utd fans in general) are just extremely sensitive over Mourinho and are looking for any reason to get offended about what anyone says about him.

I didn't tar anybody with anything, I said typical Mourinho team, which you associated with defensive football at Chelsea, not me. Then you got angry at me for associating Mourinho with defensive football even though it was you that actually did <laugh>
