There's 730 empty seats altogether in N3 & N4. Assuming the entire South Stand and corporate blocks of the west lower are sold out to members (you can't purcahse match tickets for these blocks online so i assume they are) then there's roughly 1300 tickets left in the lower bowl. I'd guess at around 4000 empty in the upper tier aswell.
So right OLM, thats where our four tickets should be. I'm gutted not to be there and to hear it will be sat empty just makes me weep.
I look down on you! Was N3, but wanted to get seats that were at least near someone else (!) so went for N5 side of N4 Bloody awful, and a simply ridiculous decision from a business perspective too. get promoted and deliberately reduce attendances !
So, what was the point of "closing" half of West Stand Upper again? I though some of it was saving costs for stewarding? Only I could clearly see two stewards in each empty gangway (one wearing yellow, one wearing blue tabard), doing nothing all match. Ridiculous.
Is that Assam Allam standing right in front of you scratching his bald patch? See the old bill are still keeping close to you.
Utterly bonkers. New owners could restore some goodwill by letting people move back to their seats, it just looked weird up there
I never even got to see my new standing area Balkan. I saw my old one when I went visiting friends from the last few seasons The juniors liked theres mid way down N5
Good to see the coppers and steward positioning themselves as to interrupt the view of anyone remaining seated.
Sat initially in my new seat in Upper 5 today but at half-time moved to my old seat on the halfway line from two seasons ago which was dead on the halfway line. I tried to move to the seat I had last year in Upper 7 but the stewards would not let you move that far across. Gradually people were moving across to the empty seats during the game. What a farce!
Just hope whoever comes in reverses the rank stupidity of the WU policy so that I can get my old seat back. Flask and blankets at the ready...
As a steward at todays match, i can tell you that today we were debriefed to watch out for people drinking in the stadium during the match and smoking in the toilets. And if anything bad was happening then to be as nice as possible as we dont want a full scale riot. SMC were really worried about the walkout during the game
