Really hard to pick. Best Clucas has played to date and Elmo looked revitalised. Hudd worked his arse off and Livermore really settled into centre back. Robertson was his usual self and Hernandez really irritated their defence. Meyler drove us forward well in injury time and Jak looks so confident.

    1. Clucas - metronomic.
    2. Snodgrass - talismanic.
    3. Davies - manic.

Special mention to Diomande who worked his socks off.. you have to say that was a special performance, did we use a sub? I don't recall it..

Had to go for jake as although snodgrass was maybe better, the fact that jake is a midfielder and played immensely at Center back tipped it for me. It looked like he had played there for years!

Very hard on Diomande, Hernandez, Livermore, Elmohamady - great performances throughout the team though, no weak links today!

But really could have been anyone in any order (except perhaps Hudd for silly fouls). Fantastic team performance and congrats Mike Phelan.

Where do you start? That was such a battling performance and the team and backroom staff deserve immense credit for putting all the mess of this summer in the background.

    1) Davies
    2) Livermore
    3) Snoddy

    Davies... captains performance...
    Clucas... came of age today
    Elmo... calmness personified...

As with everyone else anyone could have been on the list. Jako was rubbish he only touched the ball a few times... <laugh>

We also might have found a new centre back today when we play a team who don't lump it into the box...

Diomandes goal was a wonder-strike and it was great to see him running with pace and power with the ball. You get the feeling this is just the start of things to come as he has a ton of improvement in him as a player, he is raw talent

Dio - where the **** was that Anne Diamond last year!?!?!

Frig me we need this takeover to go through soon, we've got 11 who can compete at the moment, and I reckon we're only 4-5 players short of having a squad which can compete at this level. Just get it ****ing sorted you ****yfucks

Clucas - looked the classiest player on the pitch.
Livermore, for such a performance out of position against the most potent strikers (supposedly).
Diomande - most improved player at City compared to last season and both him and Clucas didn't look out of place in the Premier league in their first games.
