It's only one game, and shouldn't rush to decisions but Phelan's team did seem different. Especially in the last 25 mins. He might be a really good shout to do well. He'll need help from new owners but I think the team spirit we had today would probably not have been there with a new manager that the lads just met.
Fantastic team performance, full of team spirit and togetherness, also a lot of credit to Mike Phelan.
I don't think that it's hyperbole to say that that is our best ever Premier League performance. We've fielded better teams, we've beaten better teams and we've had more convincing wins, but given our current off field situation, the fact that we had no substitutes we could realistically call upon, the fact that they are the Champions, as well as the fact that their goal was daylight robbery we have every reason to celebrate. Up the Tigers. Our word. Our nickname. It's not some ****s to use as a marketing gimmick. Hull City AFC we are. Hull City AFC we'll stay. But we should be proud of our nickname today. We fought like Tigers.
Trust that ****ing obnoxious fat **** to stick his snout in. We don't need arseholes like you with your phony support you ****head.
I'm smiling and I just can't stop. Brilliant performance and great spirit showed throughout. The heart and determination was... ah you could fill in the blank with any superlative and it still wouldn't do it justice.
He certainly won't be trusted referee any Man U games this season, they'll need someone more competent at cheating.
Expected the worse but went along anyway against my judgement and got rewarded with that!...gotta love football i didnt see that coming
It just felt like today was one of those occasions where a dog was backed into a corner and reacted! The players will be fed up of what's going on and the pundits have wrote them off, but if anything that has bonded them together more then anything possibly could! It won't work for 37 more games but with new owners (please God) and some new signings to strengthen the squad, we have the makings of a strong premier league team! Anyway let's all get pissed!
Glad he proved me right, thought he would be decent in that position. Happy my bet got paid out, Leicester without Kante are not the same, their defence is exposed without him. Great win and to top things off some great attacking football right to the end, a rarity in recent seasons, and no shut-up shop tactics
Well done and thanks to Mike Phelan his staff and the players. You did us proud. Nearly able to forget about that pair of twats for 90 minutes so thanks for that too.
