Less than a month to go before the transfer window closes with the biennial Sky Sports extravaganza that is transfer deadline day.

As we all know, transfer deadline day is a strange event. Sometimes there is a flurry of late transfer activity, sometimes it is very quiet. Only the hype remains constant.

So, we are going to gaze into the Not606 crystal ball to see who will still be wheeling and dealing right up to the final whistle of this summer's footballing cattle market and ensuring you have a late night on transfer deadline day.

    Tottenham
Surprising, we know. Harry Redknapp lives for transfer deadline day. Spurs fans know that pre-season is for wusses: real teams only start playing together a couple of weeks into the season. They have had a predictably quiet summer, but you expect 'Arry to splash the cash when he sniffs a last minute bargain/runs out of time.

    Arsenal
Spurs' sophisticated north London neighbours are usually a bit above something as dirty as transfer deadline day dealings, but we reckon they will be in the market this time around. Gooners are desperate for Arsene Wenger to spend.

If he hasn't already done so by the end of August, expect the Professor to be looking to add to his squad on deadline day. His firm philosophy on transfer fees and wage structure will be put to the test if the under pressure manager loses points in the first few games of the season.

    Newcastle
This is on the selling front, rather than the buying side of things. As Newcastle fans are starting to learn the hard way if there's a deal to be done, the deal will be done.

If buyers came in for the likes of Cheick Tiote, Jonás Gutiérrez or Fabricio Coloccini, it is difficult to envisage Mike Ashley being able to say 'no'.

    QPR
Fans of newly promoted QPR have not been impressed with the investment from their board so far. We're going to stick our necks out a predict a last-gasp arrival or two.

Who else do you reckon will still be on the lookout for new recruits as the deadline looms?
