One Chrissy Waddle, there's only one Chrissy Waddle, one Chrissy Waddle, there's only one Chrissy Waddle.
Anyone who puts Liverpool in the top 4 are deluded My Guess is ££££ UTD Chavski Arsenal Leicester Spuds Liverpool
Top 3 could finish in any order then I suspect there'll be a big gap to Arsenal, spurs, Liverpool (maybe Everton or West Ham) fighting for 4th place 9th for Leicester
Not quite sure why people are saying City are favourites. None of their signings have been particularly impressive, thus far. Signing Stones for nearly £50m wasn't really a masterstroke, especially considering the guy was a donkey last season.
Manchester one and two. Just go with City, but close. Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal for the next 3 places. I'm hopeful we'll have another good season with a settled team, manager and style of play, so us 3rd, Chelsea 4th and Arsenal 5th. Leicester to complete top 6, followed closely by Liverpool (7th) and West Ham.
Not sure if this season UTD will be working fully as Jose want, so I have to consed 1st place, Chelsea will be the dark horse and may hit the ground running and walk the league, ££££ I think will scrape it. Spuds and Arsenal with fight for 4th and Liverpool will just carry on as normal in mid table Hammers may struggle with new stadium this season
I thought I was being overly kind to Spurs by placing you 4th, ahead of Arsenal. I may eat my words, but Spurs fans have a nasty habit of grossly over estimating their teams capabilities, something they share in common with Liverpool fans of old (thought a lot of them seem more realistic these days). Last season i predicted a meltdown for Chelsea before a ball was kicked.....(I would find you the thread in which I stated as such but the search function is still ****ed), this season i have a much more optimistic outlook. I think we are going to finish third.
This is why I love the Premier League so much. Anything can happen. So many unknowns this season. Lots of new managers, new signings amongst the top teams. I have predicted Arsenal to drop out of the top 4 for 2 of the last 3 seasons, and have been wrong. If any of my predictions are wrong, I think it will be that one. (Swap around Spurs and Arsenal). I have seen one too many so called Spur's "Resurgences" to buy into them finishing any higher than 4th, and only if Arsene dicks it up, which I think he will. We had this bravado a few years back when they got into the CL and had Bale, Modric etc. and it ended up a damp squib. Though we will see.....
Is a United fan really calling Man City "£££" after they just spunked 100m on someone they could have had for free?
I like to revisit whatever thread that was, I'm sure I said similar. Remember thinking our pre season preparations last year (signings, pre season performances etc) had been polar opposite to the season before (before we won the league). This year probably falls between the 2 so I think we'll finish somewhere between 2nd and 9th!!
