    Leeds Utd V Birmingham City

    Saturday 13th August 2016 @3.00pm

    Streaming links to follow
Luke Ayling is expected to go straight into the starting line up to face Birmingham at the weekend.

The 24 year old right back was signed yesterday from fellow Championship side Bristol City for a fee believed to be 2.5m.

Botaka has joined the Addicks on a season long loan (don't think we'll be seeing him again in a White shirt) Doukara and Murphy are expected to depart the club in the next week, and are not expected to play again for Leeds.

Cooper completed 45 minutes against Fleetwood at the weekend, and is expected to start.

Monk must decide whether Antonsson deserves a starting position having scored levels leveller and created the penalty at Highbury on Wednesday night or stick with Wood.

Mowatt is also knocking on the door of a starting spot having impressed after coming on as a second half substitute.

Morning Elland and all. Great to see the squad improvements this summer. Important to scramble some points quickly to take some of the obvious pressure off Monk and his signings

A very good morning to you Eire. Loved the look of Hernandez and Roofe on Wednesday.

Not impressed with Viera but he is young, and needs to mature...

    My prediction 2-0 Leeds

    Morning all...

Mowatt blows to hot and cold for my liking, one good game followed by several poor ones, keep him on the bench, I can't see him starting ahead of Hernandez

I wonder if Monk will continue with 4-2-3-1

If he decided to go 4-4-2 then I can't see it being Roofe and Antonnson up front just yet.

Hopefully Monk learned an awful lot more about the team at Fleetwood. An improvement in performance over QPR would be welcomed.

It will be interesting to see whether we sign that Premiership midfielder today as expected!

The Bridcutt deal is taking too long. The guy is 63 now ffs.....

Morning ristac, each game we get stronger (hopefully). 3 points tomorrow will certainly take some pressure off...

    We must start with Hernandez

I read Ayling was only 750000 Elland? Don't think he's a 2.5m player. Will be interesting to see if this midfielder comes in, Joe Rawson the reporter reckons it won't be one of the big names bandied about due to wages. He also said its five grand a week holding up the Bridcutt deal and the standoff could go until deadline day. If no one else comes in for him he may have to accept a pay cut. I think the guy is being greedy myself, he'd be getting 20000 grand a week here which is a good wage for the championship.

If money is the thing that is holding up the Bridcutt deal he is not the player we want.

Morning all ... I believe in Monk, he seems assured and confident, and he will get this team of ours firing ... his signings will help to change the mentality in the dressing room, and I expect that Bartley and Hernandez will be a huge influence on the lads ... Antonsson is a great looking find, well done Pep ... Monk says Ayling is a "very good professional", so you can see the type of players he wants to get in, those he knows he can trust to work hard and give it their all ... Monk's definitely building a team that befits Leeds United, and it's going to be fun when he gets the team to where he wants them ... here's to a positive result tomorrow, onwards and upwards

Morning Spain, ok, but admit I was surprised when 2.5 - 3m was being banded about...

Yeah, imagine Cellino also telling Glory he wasn't allowed to say anything derogatory about him or the club! <laugh>

Morning troops. Pity if Murphy goes, but we're moving forward and the arrival of Hernandez is making the midfield area a bit crowded. So wish him well.

Hopefully we'll see 2 up front with either a flat 4 in midfield, or a DM sitting in front of the back 4 & a flat 3 in midfield. As Hernandez will be one of those, we may play with 2 wingers or one and Mowatt. Either way, I think we will be too strong for Brum.

    Morning all,

Happy with the signing of Ayling all though i do wonder why we have 3 right back's now, one must be on their way out... Also doesn't say much for Coyle.

I like what Monk is doing with the team for sure, just hope he gets the time to do it properly.

Wasn't gonna go tomorrow as I had no one to go with but I've decided to just go alone. Never been to a game on my own but i'm sure it'll be just as fun :)

Morning Boggers, yeah, I liked Murphy, but it just has not worked out for him...
