Just catching up and not sure if anyone else has already posted this but just seen on Sky that we've accepted £18m bid from Everton for him.

Ellis Short would sell you for a fiver mate, buy you back for a tenner, do the required work, ie facial restructure work, have you drinking Don, stick a nice 3 piece on you and offer you to world as the voice of Blunham or Sandy if it made him a profit..<laugh>

BTW mate, read that remark to you from last night, ban than that ****er yeah...

Or if you can still get the IP's then forward it please? Ta..

Don't worry about it mate. I'd already forgotten about.

Could've done something about it but wouldn't want to be dictatorial about it.

I could do with a nice 3 piece mind. Mind give Ellis a call <laugh>

Good for you but £18m is a canny profit if he spends it.

Wouldn't be 18 million profit though. it would be 13 million. Then you factor the inflation. 5 million we paid in January it isn't worth 5 million now, nowhere near. Also there's rumours Lorient will be owed 30% of the transfer from a sell on clause. Suddenly the profit isn't looking enough to be worth it imo.

It's starting to look like a done deal.

If so and not for the first time by any means, I'm really questioning if supporting SAFC is worth the angst. This after over 65 years.

We get lucky.

We sign a very good player for a bargain price.

He is a SUCCESS in every way, being the main difference in our escaping relegation.

In fact he is just the sort of player we SHOULD be building a side round. The sort of side that Isn't in a perpetual relegation fight.

So we are looking to sell him for about £16mil, (That the figure on this site---http://www.insidefutbol.com/2016/08...mine-kone-answer-deadline-by-everton/299209/? )

An £11mil profit, at least on paper. Less when the cost of a replacement is factored in.
A £100+mil loss if we go down.

To be honest the amount maters little, it's what such a move signifies that would bother me most.
It would show a complete lack of ambition.

Still, none of this has happened yet. It MAY just be Press speculation.

.....

Sorry i find this a little hard to swallow.

Aye according to SSN we have accepted the 18m bid.
I read somewhere that Moyes want's to get jagielka on a 2 yr deal and prepared to offer 75k a week. There will be hell on if that happened

SSN and their unique algorithm. I didn't realise algorithm meant 'made up bollocks'....i saw there's a very strong chance we're signing Bridcutt back from Leeds. We haven't even sold them to them yet, the ****ing useless muppets.

I agree if there is a 30% sell on, more likely we had to pay something if we stayed up.
Like is being said on other boards Bri, he did look suspect in a few of his games, positionally and pace wise and £20 Million for a centre back.
Papa's record in the French League, Bundisliga and at International level more than stand up to Kone and McNair lands also I think its good business.
Time will tell I guess.

I was working all day on creating algorithms in Excel yesterday - if I knew that this from SSN was an Algorithm, I'd have spent 5 minutes in the morning and told the people I was working for to make up their own numbers
