Benteke is nowhere near Ings quality. Not the same work rate. Not the same ability.

    I agree.

far lazier but far far far superior ability.

You are way over estimating ings ability.. that my point.

Not really. He's like.... in a league of his own in laziness. Benteke is just a more static player looking for things to go through him not going making things happen.

Benteke is a very very good striker.

Balotelli has natural ability but I don't know that it's really occurred to him that a few frees and pens make a career.

give me an "100% up for it player" any day over so called "talent"

    just look at leicester.

its just an opinion but a player who runs himself into the ground for the cause will score more goals for a klopp team than one who wont. so **** talent... in that sense.

ings has plenty of "talent" btw

I'll always appreciate a worker over a show pony

Not saying the Spaniard was a show pony but I guess that's why I liked Mascherano more than Alonso. Loved both mind...

    oi i'm not having that
Alonso did work hard , may not of been eye catching but just ensuring you are constantly available for a pass is hard work. More to the point as a pair they dovetailed perfectly.

Mascherano 'worked harder' due to the nature of his role.

But take away the 'effort', they were world class players due to their ability.

Realistically if Ings gets a 5-10 goals in all comps he'll have had a good season.

Our main striker should be Sturridge because he's our best striker.

    Failing that it's Origi.

Not only is Ings looking good in goals per minutes played department. He also has a comparable key passes per 90 mins played to Coutinho.

The Ings argument is a bit daft really. I don't think anyone expects him to be first pick but everyone realises he's a better option than Benteskey, Ballotelli and Borini combined (in a klopp team).

As Yoda said above, a return of 5-10 goals would be great! And I for one think he's very capable of hitting those numbers as long as he avoids injuries.

5-10 in prem or all comps? Prem yeah I'll be happy with that, all comps would be disappointed if it was less than 10

I was talking all competitions. We've not got European football so we've got a maximum of about 50 games assuming we make both domestic cup finals.
