A salute from Curt http://www.swanseacity.net/news/art...lan-curtis-hails-ashley-williams-3236448.aspx
I think Williams will play some of the best football he's ever played these next few seasons . Was a pain in the arse most transfer windows but I'm glad he pulled the pin " Quietly " ....whereas the way he did his past " Transfer Talk " through the media , then not go I found a bit obnoxious . Did a super job though when the smoke always cleared and there he was starting almost every game , stopping attacks ,season upon season . Hope he enjoys his wish for new surroundings ..Good Man Ash !!
Ash not playing preseason will be more of a plus than we probably realize with the remaining CB's taking all the minutes . Fernandez starts with Amat and VanDer Hoorn getting a game along side Fernandez .. And one game with Amat and Van Der Hoorn starting . Not neccessarily in that order . All three possible pairings first 3 matches . That's 3 games to have a peek and act accordingly with 4 days left till the window shuts . This is what I would do .
We also set him and his family up for life so it works both ways , Ayew was always going that we knew , the Club captain on the other hand would have gone seasons ago if he'd had his wish .Thanks for the memories all the same but we move on
Not at all , he helped us we helped him ,it's not like he was paid a pittance for his efforts like I say thanks for memories . Teams are constantly evolving so I try not to get attached to the player and will support them when they play for the Club but nothing stays the same and I'm sure he'll be remembered with affection.
As I say , life goes on http://www.espnfc.co.uk/club/swanse...sea-following-ashley-williams-exit-to-everton
Ayew never said he wanted to end his career here....We made ash and he decides he wants a new challenge all of a sudden when we are trying to strengthen the club after the rubbish we had to endure last season...... If it was to a big club then ok but he lets Arsenal go and does a sideways move to one of our rivals......What a ****er ....
I'm gutted Ash has gone and wish him all the best but now we must move on and fill those huge boots. No sign of any players coming in ATM. I hope we get some decent signings through the door soon. Us fans need a boost because we've offloaded our best players. (Apart from Siggy)
Much of what you say is probably correct, but nevertheless you should still have the good grace to wish him well, he's been exemplary, and hardly dropped a game for us, just look at the way he would not go off the field for Wales when having injured his shoulder, not many players of that caliber these days. As for me I'm happy for him, he gave us his best years, and for that I thank him............
