As I understand it Turkish clubs do alot of talking to keep the fans happy and stop them rioting.

Have to wonder how long that would work for - surely they would be even more riotous when they see that nothing actually happens? :)

Not sure what our net spend is so far but I'd seriously like to see the jigsaw completed.

Hector £20-25m and Dahoud for same price.

Benteke looks gone at around £30m so add £20m to our current outlay and we'll be in a much more solid position imo. I'd prefer Lucas to stay as cover for the CM midfield pairing.

If/When Benteke goes, we'll have a -tive spend of nearly 15m.
Even if we buy the likes of Hector and Dahoud for 50m combined, our net sepnd will be +35m
That doesn't included the likely departures of other players..
So far, the business done is OK, B-, get a quality LB and DM and that goes up to an B+/A-

yes that would be the wisest thing for his club to try to do.

one of these "oh i promise to sell you" kind of deals. He needs to get a clear release clause in there and ignore that kind of stuff.

Was down to play golf with John Solako today, but he's a no show now, he's still working as Pardew's Number 2.. was going to ask if they've sorted Bentekers out yet.

Liverpool are set to sign former Barcelona defender Juanma following a successful trial.

The 19-year-old left back spent 10 days with the Reds’ U23 side, and has impressed sufficiently to be offered a contract at Anfield.

Juanma will sign subject to a medical, and will go into Michael Beale’s U23 squad for the new season. He is not considered a first-team option at this stage, though Liverpool have seen off competition from Villarreal to secure his signature.

Real name Juan Manuel Garcia, Juanma came through the ranks at Barcelona, playing as a left back and a centre back during his time at La Masia.

    Klopp blocks Lucas' Galatasaray move
Jurgen Klopp has blocked Galatasaray’s bid to sign Lucas from Liverpool.

Gala felt they had a deal in place to sign Lucas , who is Liverpool’s longest-serving player, and were waiting for him to give them his decision.

But Klopp has vetoed the Brazilian midfielder’s departure because he is worried it would have left him short because of his various injury concerns.

Hope he's a better scout than he was a player.

Liverpool could wait 12 months before trying to land Borussia Monchengladbach star Mahmoud Dahoud, according to Bild.
That is because the 20-year-old will reportedly be available for just €10million (£8.5million) next summer.
Jurgen Klopp has allegedly been knocked back in a series of approaches for the German wonderkid this summer.
But he is now set to wait until next year to complete the deal as a clause will be activated in Dahoud's contract.

With much of Jurgen Klopp's transfer business conducted early in the summer, the German looks set to spend the remainder of the window tying up loose ends and fleshing out his squad when injuries and opportunities dictate—with a move for 18-year-old Charlton Athletic forward Ademola Lookman firmly of the latter.
According to the Mirror's Darren Witcoop, Liverpool are among four clubs interested in signing Lookman this summer, joined by fellow Premier League hopefuls Arsenal in heading those looking to seal a deal ahead of 2016/17.
