If you think about it, 19 away games....average 2000 away fans....£380,000. Was was the size of that fund in previous years that we never got??? Its not the biggest investment but hugely effective
Not universally popular in Southampton. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?56903-Away-Fans-to-pay-%A320-per-ticket#.V6sbz9JdFxA
I disagree, its understandable they are not best pleased. Put it this way, if the Allams subsidised away tickets so they cost half of what home tickets do then there would be absolute chaos on this board.
Only it's not the owners, it's a sponsor and it's really just a clever marketing gimmick. Considering that, for half the clubs in the league, it's one of the most expensive away games, it's a clever move and unlike us, they're not suffering while another clubs fans benefit.
**** all to do with Saints, they're still pocketing 30 quid the way I read that, except Virgin Media (who are a bunch of ****s btw) are subsidizing the tenner. Obviously it's great as an away fan its just twenty, but it's just smoke and mirrors. Or as you say Lambo, clever marketing. VM are still ****s mind.
Hah, yet the arguments are the same as for when we used the ASI fund differently than everyone else... Hope the bastards aren't after our Trip Advisor title, the ****s them.
Please don't judge us by that ****ing car crash of a forum.... our board on here is much more sensible Edit - not that I'm saying you are, just in general the place is full of twats...
