I don't agree. Once the transfer window closes we are stuck with the available players until January, by which time we could very easily be cut adrift at the bottom. A prospective buyer's interest in the club could easily evaporate as soon as they recognise this.
Which of the current players in our squad haven't played in the Premier League before? Dio? Odubajo? We actually have a decent and pretty experienced squad, it's just very small.
Anyone else find it strange that the paper talk on Coleman to us continues, but with Giggs noted as his natural successor. A man who regularly couldn't be arsed to rock up and play for Wales as a player more often than not.....
The loan window is gone for everybody, they got rid of it starting this season. You can still sign free transfers as far as I know until December.
SB was increasingly pressed into service as a cheerleader/ ticket-seller towards the end of last season, as Ehab Allam either thought it beneath him or beyond him. Now that SB has been forced out, is it now the task of Mike Phelan to do this on the eve of another difficult season, with a tough start and barely enough senior players to choose from, to front up to the media & bang the drum? If so, shame on the club (yet again), as a new caretaker manager has to prepare a side to face the champions in his first competitive game....and what help with media duties are the club giving as he tries to prepare for this uneven game? None I suspect (Surprise me Ehab......show yourself)
I think this is the start of an amazing feel good film. A Rich Chinese Businessman's son or daughter arrogantly buys Hull City while drunk. Disowned by their father for being so stupid, they have to put together a team from a series of youth players, a few cynical players (who refuse to play at the start), and a selection of ex City players who have to come out of retirement (Jan Vennegoor of Hesslink, Robbie Koren and Geo). Jackie Chan to play the new owner. Sacha Baron Cohen to play both Assem Alam and Ehab Alam and a selection of managers that dont get the job. Steve McFadden to play Mike Phelan The film end with Hull Tigers losing out in the final moments of the last game of the season and amassing the lowest points ever; but all the fans united behind their new loving owner. Well until the owner also buys Leeds and tries to merge the two teams.
Not sure why my thread about a lack of positive publicity and media activity for the new season has been merged into the thread about a new manager.
Fancy moving a post about the manager into the manager thread... You've got a thread with thirteen posts already today, doubling your previous personal best, it's not good to push your luck.
Does this mean any future 'armchair manager' reference will be re-consigned into the 'No new manager' thread?
Why not, my thread headed about a question for mathematicians was moved to the managers thread. It was illustrating the inability of HDM to multiply by 3 but because this referred to an inability to multiply Chris Coleman's salary by 3 was moved to the thread about City managers.
