What if Phelan resigns on Friday night, who would take on the 1st team duties? How about nominating Curtis as player manager.
Thing is, we didn't really spend much last season either, so this talk of them paying off the debt doesn't sit with me, with the parachute payment and this season's money, not to mention the Premier League money for the last time we were up there, they should've paid the debt a long time ago. So where is all the money going? That's my question to them.
Hear what your saying but wages will take a big chunk, taxman, operating costs and of course the allams big pudgey fingers
Worry is new owners may already have someone lined up, and this could mean their reign starts with upsetting supporters.
More than happy for Phelan to get it, he seems to know how to get the best out of what he has. Which is exactly what we need right now.
He interviews really really well... just listened to him of Sky... football man through and through... 'proud to be around these players' ... great comment..
Be mad to change manager now, we haven't just got results, we've played well as a team. But I'm with Syd, I'm nervous the new owners have already got someone else lined up.
Mike Phelan asked about the fans' support. "It's better than them chanting we want Phelan out. But they deserve this."
Lets wait fellas...See if the take over goes through first, then start to think about the coaches job... As Phebes said on BBC just now, we're only 2 games in...
Like I posted on another thread before the season started, he'll win his first five games in charge then get the boot.
Who's picking the transfer targets? I'd like phelan to get the job but I worry someone in waiting is picking the targets. Although burnsy asked phelan about transfers and he said they've given the board a list, so maybe he is getting a say. Someone management wise must be having a say, we carnt spend £20-£30 million then a manager saying "these don't fit my style, I need more players"
