I think we are starting to struggle to bring in a striker, just a feeling I have, could be wrong, but I think we need to offer a bit more in wages Huw.........
Phil I think it would help if we actually made an offer or 2 for someone, rather than just talking about it.
Agree, we do look like amateurs, Huw does worry me on times, it's at times like this I reflect on an away game at Bristol in the Championship under Sousa, it was a gloriously hot day, and I was with my oldest boy sitting opposite the VIP entrance stuffing my face with a cheese burger, when this Black Merc came along and parked, and out popped Huw with his Ugly minder, he stood and looked around, then this old granny came out also, Huw pulled out a tie from his pocket, leaned over for the old dear to do his tie up!! I kid you not, he couldn't do his own tie up?............... PS: My son said, "Did you see that dad? how doesn't he know how to do his tie" I said "amazing aye, you live and learn", it would also explain why you hardly ever see Huw with a tie on.
So Ayew now finally sold which completes the dismantling of our front line. Four out the door with one confirmed in. Defence must be next for dismantling.... Wonder if there willbe a price drop for championship ticketsnext year. Sorry lads....the way i see it going
So you wanted these players who have gone to stay? And as for the defence, only one player is maybe going, hardly a dismantling of the team! And if you want to see championship football next season, there's a club just up the m4 who will still be there
Ayew yes Paloschi yes Gomis no Eder no Expect good replacements if we do ship out first team players. We have one confirmed who is 31. If this Boja guys falls thru....and our 1 striker eithers gets injured or cant hit a banjo we are fooked
Did you go to the match last Saturday? If you did you would have seen what a promising player Van der Hoorn is, excellent buy for £2 Million, as for the front line Huw clearly stated that Ayew would not go until we had secured our second striker target, so clearly we have completed the Borja Baston deal subject to his medical, and I understand that the €18 Million deal will be announced on Wednesday at the very latest, so my view is we have sorted our poor front line correctly, and are now much stronger than last season, I am very optimistic regarding this season, especially with Dyer back as well.................
The borja transfer hasn't fallen through, the transfer is complete it will be made public by tomorrow at the latest. The reason is that we wouldn't have let Ayew to leave otherwise. And every transfer is a risk, what happened if Ayew couldn't score last season? Every team takes a calculated gamble, this is ours
