Well no matter which side of the fence you sit on (or even if you sit on the fence over all this) ... lets hope this is true and done swiftly so everyone can move on and concentrate on the football side of things at last
I believe the players have been told, whether I trust any of the club hierarchy to tell the truth is another matter.
After the transfer window closes then? Do you think they will be identifying targets and making signings in the background during August.?
Reckon the players have been unhappy at the lack of additions, so Ehab has temporarily placated them by trotting this out. I hope that isn't the case, but since when has hope turned into something real where this is concerned?
You would like to think so!! I am hoping this is why we have not had a new manager or signings in last couple of weeks as sale been agreed and "new owners" implement their budget and regime (ie agree on who gets signed, new manager ect in the intrim)
Have you wiped the Egyptian **** off your nose, taken the rubber dick out your arse & removed the blinkers?
Its just more bullshit and bollocks to offset the protests. If he really is that close to selling why is he saying he has 5 offers tabled for new players. Lies, damn lies and that **** Ehab.
sorted then, Phelan gets it on a caretaker role until the new owners takeover then its upto them to sort
Let`s hope this isn`t another false dawn, it would make sense for the new owners to sanction deals prior to the take over to give the club a fighting chance.
Like everyone else, I suspect it may be a way to keep them onside. Whether it turns out to be a certainty is open to debate as I fear a lot of disinformation is about to come to placate everyone inside and out of the club. It's sad my first instinct is to not trust this. They could be just peddling the "September is when we sell" spin. Or, maybe, just maybe, it's down to a real offer and acceptance. It comes down to knowing EXACTLY what has been communicated, as "going to be sold" (or similar) can mean all sorts! Hmmmmm
September's no ****ing good. We need players NOW ! And please don't give me that bollocks about the Allams working with new owners to bring players in this window cos that ain't gonna happen.
The Allams seem to be trying to get us relegated. Don't they understand that the more it appears that we are going to be relegated that the lower any price anybody is willing to pay will be?
"the players have been told" is bollox as we don't have any!! will we be drafting in some youth squad ones or emergency loans when the window slams shut?
Difficult to see any logic in this approach. Why would there be a stall on selling - is there something magical about September? Is it more of a case of desperately attempting to sell, but unsuccessfully to date, and maybe not having the kudos to buy new players or pay a Premier League manager's wage? Is Allam House in financial difficulty itself? Drip feed little notes of optimism - Chinese consortium, American consortium, "exotic" managers etc all to try and buy time. to sell? No players incoming and the lack of a managerial appointment suggest a financial crisis coupled to an inability to sell the club without further losses. Are they facing a fire sale and baulking while no Deus Ex Machina is currently offering them a club purchase pri ce that would bail them out? Pure speculation on my part but how can it be that a Premier League "newbie" that requires a manager, backroom staff, & several players is in its current predicament five days before playing the Premier League Champions.
Not sure about the rest of your post but the answer to the above is most definitely a resounding 'yes'. It's new registration month/top pay month = magical month.
