The 26-year-old was the Championship club's top scorer last scorer, with 20 goals in 48 games in all competitions. Lansdown also said the Robins would not sell Kodjia to any Championship clubs. "It would have to be a mega price to prize him away and it would have to be a Premier League side," Lansdown told BBC Radio Bristol. "People have talked about five or six million - no chance." The former Angers front man, who signed for the club in July 2015 for around £2m, played 90 minutes as City beat Wigan Athletic 2-1 on Saturday in their first match of 2016-17 and their first home game in the fully-redeveloped Ashton Gate. "We wouldn't sell him to anybody in in the Championship because we're looking to compete in the Championship this year, and he's an integral part of that," Lansdown added. "If it's not £10 million-plus, we're not even looking at it. If it's £10 million-plus from a Championship club, we're still not looking at it. I think it's more likely than not that he'll stay this season - unless maybe a club like Hull gets panicky about not having a squad and is willing to pay £12m or so. Hopefully he's not in a bad mood about not moving on (yet) - the best thing he can do for himself and the club is apply himself as best he can and he'll either earn a move to the Premiership that City fans shouldn't begrudge him, or he'll help take us there!
More to the point, we would need to replace him if we are serious in doing well this season......I'm not sure there's much out there for 10m or less
I hope we're not trying to attract suitors... I'd have preferred him to say, Kodjia is not for sale period.

Why are we such goofs when it comes down to the heart of the matter? PR blunders this season are just a little off base with the latest coming from the man who clearly stated that people are taking the mickey out of us because of who we are, and not who we want to be. What on earth is our leader thinking off making comments like this, and if you couple that with our inability to spend that kind of money without possibly falling afoul of the authorities, it makes me question some of the decisions and epithets coming from the top. Whether Kodjia is ready for prime time is irrelevant and now you basically have told him he is available to go when the money is right and the right team follows it up with mega cash on the table. I will agree it is nice to have that kind of asset but please have some respect and basic common sense when it comes down to the nitty gritty of dealing with players and I am left with the question as to who has instigated this possible transfer and you take your choice? Lansdown? Kodjia? Agent?
I don't agree Mike. He has basically said unless you're a Prem team don't bother. Every player has his price and to be honest like NickH says no prem team other than Hull (Middlesborough have Rhodes and Burnley have Grey) will be looking at him. Can't see any club who already preside in the Prem being interested. So what he has basically said he ain't for sale. So it's no good saying little ole Bristol City will sell if pushed. Not a great difference as some clubs who put a transfer value in contracts. Unless it's met they're not for sale. Next summer will be different and no doubt another season like this and his price goes up.
I don't agree with this either if a Prem team comes calling with a £10 million plus offer then of course he will be off and thank you very much.
I know we will and I can't disagree that we have an asset in the lad. My concern is the way it was approached and not with what I think is the inevitable outcome, but I just hope he has studied the case of one Nicky Maynard and where his dreams took him. He is a great asset to our team but I think the way Lansdown spoke out on the subject must make Anthony wonder where he stands however the problem is we will never truly know who started the issue, and that could possibly be outside the scope of the football club. It will resolve itself whatever we might have to say and I hope the proper ending is forthcoming sooner rather than later.
All players have their price, I have a feeling that this may have been aimed more at his agent perhaps trying to whip up a deal...? (pure speculation but won't be surprised)
