Have to say first half was very poor, urgency what urgency.

Lee Tomlin needs to sit central behind Abrahams and Kojak.

O'dowda looked good as did Magnussen.
Abraham has to start looks absolute class.
    Kojak looked completely lost,no effort.
Needs a kick up the jacksey.
O'donall okay,Bryan needs to show more urgency,Ayling did okay,o'neil did well,Tomlin no impact where he was playing,he needs to orchestrating the game.Brownhill had a reasonable game.Flint solid as usual.

    Subs
Abraham class a first name on the sheet class.
    Reid caused problems.
    Freeman did well.

We will get better we need six points from first two games then the tests of Newcastle,Norwich,Villa where we should look at 4 points.

Ashton Gate was a great sight today,do not understand why more did not attend.
The stadium is as good as any in the country, fantastic achievement by Steve L.

Yes heard he took a nock R but he needs to play behind two strikers, that is his best position.
    Tammy looks class.

Top top quality I could see that in 10 minutes watching him.
    Gotta play him.

100% agree on Abraham, looks really assured on the ball, great movement, touch and belief in his own ability, wow we may have another Andy Cole here!

Not wishing to be too picky but Wigan's goal followed a sortie up the right wing by Ayling, who lost the ball 20/25 yards inside Wigan half. Wigan countered by attacking us in the space vacated by Ayling, leaving Flint with one against two with the inevitable end result. How many times did LA do the same last season with a goal conceded as a result? This is not a slag against LA but he does it too often to ignore.

But unlike Andy Cole, he is 100% unliely to join us on a permanent basis. Just a loan this season is the best we can expect.

Luckly we have Adam Mathews to come in when he's match fit. But I do agree he gets caught too far forward sometimes. I think he did improve after we conceded the goal though.

I agree. I said that we looked vulnerable down the right and that the goal was due to Ayling being out of position.

There wasn't enough footage on the video clip for me to judge TA but I respect the comments on here - he must be pretty good.

As someone has pointed out though - we have only borrowed him - and every goal he scores for us puts his price up.
Matt Smith was not allowed to join us following his loan stint with us and I can see TA being the same.

The crowd was a bit disappointing, only about 1800 above last seasons average??

All stands were full from my POV, just the West Stand being half full because of safety reasons probably

Considering he is only 18,he has a big future in front of him.Class stood out. We got no chance of ever signing him. Chelsea have sent him out for experience and they will want to keep him

Quite agree.. and its not for the first time either! I like him but he's doing that too much..

    Matthews is a better option.

You might as well forget any chance of signing him, that is never going to happen.. enjoy him while he's here..

Surely if one man attacks another should drop in behind to cover the danger of us being exposed at the back, it seems not enough attention to detail on the training ground or players are suiting themselves and not listening to instructions from management.

Someone needs to get a grip very quickly, not a criticism just a reaction.

Very true Ayling is a attacking defender by nature, that his is game.i do like that, however someone needs to back track to cover him when he goes on a run.:emoticon-0148-yes:
