New season, new hopes, new despairs, new players but we retain the best from last season, the Headline Game. Anyone can guess a score, I mean even Pantsy gets it right once in every blue moon. No Chippy, pull your pants up, not that kind of moon. In this game you could find a new career in the media. How's that for a potential prize. All you have to do is persuade all the punters that your Headline has the popularity and verve to make it stand out from the crowd. Can you make the reader "ooh and arrrr" or "boo and grrrr". Do you have the flair of Pedro or something he flair of Shola, time to find out. What can you say about the Fulham game which will make Oh be Have sit up and stop eating or No Chance put his pen down on his five page summary of the first hour's play in a Mafia game? Let's find out. Rules as before. 1. One entry per person. 2. Submissions to be made by 9.30pm Monday 08/08/2016 3. If more than 4 submissions then there will be an initial vote where the top 4 will then go to a second and final vote. 4. Trevor's arbitrary decisions are final with no appeal or whining allowed. 5. Don't forget No Chance's 74 Volume Rule Book applies.
Agree and disagree. We have to improve but surely you should be able to rely on any referee to have spotted the first penalty, not forgetting the linesman as well.
(not having a pop) sorry but the ref is an integral part of the game, we have to rely on the ref doing his job if anything is untoward or against the laws of fair play, he is there to enforce the 'Laws of the Game' it was not Newcastle's fault that a cross was handled inside the box, it was however the fault of the referee not to punish the offence, which is clearly spelt out in the laws of the game with the correct punishment for the said offence which was a penalty. This law is set out by FIFA, for which The Football Association is part of If you want to read up on the Laws of the Game, and the new Laws introduced this season here they are http://www.fifa.com/mm/Document/Foo.../92/44/Laws.of.the.Game.2016.2017_Neutral.pdf I do believe that the ref has made a mistake but these mistakes are becoming more common, and they are not hard decisions to make I don't believe that these mistakes even themselves out, as we found out last season it was however Newcastle's fault that we played ****e , but we will never know what the true outcome would of been had the ref done his job for which he is paid well for (by the way, they have had a massive pay increase this season) oh and the headline is Toon get homer of a ref, away from home
Newcastle think they are still in Premier League and decide season doesn't start till following week.
Where has the time gone? Submissions have been made and now is the time to judge. So has anyone here been looking to join the Sun or to leave the Mail or have you the ability to join the "preferred media partner"? The talent scouts are watching. Time to get rid of the dross and determine who the Rupert Murdoch of NOT606 is. See who can win the first Headline Game of the season. Time to see what the public think. Rules as before 1 Two votes per person 2 No voting for yourself 3 Voting ends Saturday 13/08/2016 at 1.25 pm'ish 4 Top 3 go into Final vote 5 Any disputes and No Chance Rules Volume 46 applies
