Got to win it already. Fulham are comfortably a bottom half club, Smith's a donkey, they had the 3rd worst defence in the football league last year. So it's Fulham 1 (Smith) Newcastle 0, that's pathetic and not the result of a team going up.
However, if we had been given the blatant penalty and scored it we would have calmed down and may have ended up 3-0 winners. Like I say, it is one fecking game! This is going to be one hell of a long season if we don't win the next 45 games!
They had a completely different back 4 to last season I think and we don't know where Fulham will be in the league come May. It was a disappointing performance but it was one game so no need to panic. We do need a better tactic for teams that defend deep against us, though, because there will be a lot of that this season.
It's a bad team that relies on penalties to get results, did we not learn this when Carver was manager. It was poor yesterday and if you want to go up you really have to be winning games like Fulham, Huddersfield and Bristol City.
