No, Liverpool have spent money on buying depth and building a team for the future. Suarez and Carroll could end up being the best striking partnership in Europe for the next 5-6 years. They have the likes of Henderson, Cole and Henderson as backup for an already strong midfield. Adding Jose will only strengthen them further.

I can't see us not buying replacements, there's still a month of the transfer window left! A lot can happen in that amount of time, not sure what all this doom and gloom is about yet, plenty of time to get players in still.

This is true. I think a few are just worried that Enrique and Barton won't be replaced, and we'll fail on the striker front. Here's hoping but I'm not holding my breath as we are trying to cut costs.

    I completely agree.
Only Man City out of the big sides have strengthened with the signing of Aguero. They haven't boosted themselves with their other signings,as Clichy is like for like to Kolarov in other words dodgey.Man United have spent £20 million on a 4th choice centre half,a winger that can't cross his legs for £18 million, and a rookie keeper for another £18 million. They haven't strengthened...they've weakened.
As for the others...they haven't strengthened.I reckon if Liverpool can tie up Enrique, they will be one player short of being as strong as they were in 2009.
Don't forget this is only phase one of John Henrys Liverpool renaissance. The slitting of Man Uniteds throat will occur in the forseeable future.John Henry and Kenny have vowed to destroy Alex Ferguson and Manchester United, and nothing and I mean nothing will stand in their way./
