It's a banker. No problem. Someone has probably almost put pen to paper for these deals to have been sanctioned
Hope he goes and shows the form he did 3 years ago and comes back to make that full back spot his own. Probably needs a loan and s full year of playing, whist hope he gets lots of opportunities there this year.
Sale of Milan was agreed today finally... Think they'll try and hold on to their good Italian players for the rebuild.
Most likely. I think you are right there. Any italian International will out last any manager there and be a key fixture.
I didn't think you were. Things would be dull on here if we all agreed on everything, and I'm just giving my side of the argument in my own way. I usually don't agree with your assessment of the relative importance of different qualities of players. I think I attach more value to solidity in defensive areas. Flair is good in certain areas, but you need to be able to rely on your defenders. And, there is always a place for workers and water-carriers in a team - they help the more talented thrive, and cover for them when they screw up. Flanno has a bit to learn, but I think he may be able to do that. Bert is just brainless, and I can't see him ever getting it right (though I hope I'm wrong).
I just think as of now lfc have if we are lucky 3 cbs, one barely in training. One rb and one liability at lb. Irrespective of whos gone out we dont look in good shape at all at the back.
Could be worse, could be Arsenal with the only CB available being Chambers and Holding who just helped Bolton get relegated from Chanpionship!
Not sure, I tend to think of Klopp as a pretty honest straightforward guy not a two faced ****. That said, he could have been very honest with the players themselves but fed bullshit to the press to keep their price up. On the comment I made, it always seems to be the case at your club that you have to claw as much money back as possible after spending big, you have made two big purchases so far this summer perhaps the Yanks have said time to claw some back before we spend more? (and that is without the wage bill)
Usually I fart in the general direction of your pessimism, but I do think we're seriously lightweight in this regard. I really hope there's stuff going on behind the scenes or we'll be back to trying to win every game 6-5.
They would be idiots to spend a load of money on players only to undermine the club's chances of success by leaving us unbalanced for the sake of clawing back a few quid. Even if they're only in it for the money, it's in their own interest for the club to do well. Maybe Klopp meant it at the time and changed his mind - who knows? But the media spouting a load of auld shyte seems the most plausible explanation in the absence of any actual evidence.
Gary Neville would have a lot less England caps had Jones not been screwed by injuries. Nah, he just doesn't like scousers (Flanno, Lucas is an adopted scouser, he didn't like Carra or Gerrard either) . It's #racism Flanno has the heart, desire and passion that every player can only dream of. Sure, he's not the greatest player in the world (I never claimed he was) but nor was Carra, he just put his abilities to best use and that's exactly what I thought Flanno could do. As a player capable of playing both sides too, it's crazy to let him go UNLESS we have others lined up to arrive. Same. How he has a cracking season. If he doesn't return then career too. He'll always have my support and respect.
