Finnan & Arbeloa were proven class. I always thought Rob Jones was going to be a superb player, but injury intervened so he never reached his full potential.
you have a strange idea of "great" now if we don't sign at least 1 FB my joke about playing 2-5-3 might come true
Jimmy's idea of "great" is getting shot of everyone he happens to dislike. Whether or not it's beneficial to the club doesn't really enter into it.
He will learn a lot from Dyche, if he does return you will be getting a better player than you sent out.
You're absolutely right - it's beneficial for the club to keep hold of a full back who is actually very poor at his job.
Well, I was kidding - but seriously I don't think he's that poor. He's not great either and we need better, but it's madness to get rid unless you've got someone better or have him lined up. I think Moreno is desperate and much more of a liability than Flanno but I wouldn't turf him out unless we had a replacement.
Look guys DO NOT PANIC. We've just sold our LB cover and we're loaning players out left right and centre - WE WILL sign a FIRST 11 LB. Not sure why people don't think we will????
Not having a go mate. You know I have no sense of humour. I do agree that it's very risky to be selling the dross without cover but I'm hoping Klopp has something up his sleeve. Moreno isn't worse than Flanno - neither are defensively great and you can quote me on that.
The best thing is that the media gave zero clue on what Klopp wants. Written by the echo a few weeks ago: "Klopp sees Flanagan as an important part of the squad and feels Smith is a more than capable alternative to Moreno."
How to make the best of his ability. Dyche has never been in a position to buy "elite talent" and wait for them to come good, he has to take players who have been mismanaged and turn them into competent players. That is how he has taken Burnley into the PL twice on a pocket money budget.
We are surely signing someone now... Smith, Randall and Flanagan leaves Clyne and Moreno. Not counting TAA as he's unlikely to play.
