He was looking for a back-up keeper to Peter Shilton. The strange thing is, when I said no thank you, he signed Mark Wallington instead and he and I moved to Lincoln at about the same time!

Just read about WBA being taken over by a Chinese Investment group and wondered how many clubs now have owners who are from the UK. It seems not many! Also according to wikipedia the combined wealth of our owners are comparable to the wealth of the owners of clubs like Colchester and Crewe. The need to return to the PL is clear

No "statements of intent" there really. Despite Vadis apparently nearing a deal with Legia Warsaw and Brady unlikely to hang around, both get squad numbers. Surprised Dorrans was moved to 4 rather than Pinto, other than that nothing catches the eye.

 

I guess it was never likely that they would upset ruddy by giving away the No.1 shirt, but I hope this doesn't mean he is to be No.1 as I think on recent evidence he maybe more of a No.2!
