I may be stating the obvious, I think a lot about how a player plays is much to do with the players around him and his mental state. Perhaps he was not motivated at City , did he feel HCAFC was too smaller club for him and he would be more motivated at a 'bigger' club ? Time will tell.
Best bit about that was the fella saying his only experience of hull was staying at an army mates house on bransholme and someone tried and failed to rob him at knife point!

Yes for some parts - it's standard for every Newcastle signing to talk about the size of the club - but here's no way he'll have been fed the line about his contract. It makes him look like a mercenary.

There was nothing wrong with the mental state of those around him. His own left a bit to be desired at times.
I can't see them not getting promoted with the manager and players they're signing, but it would be funny as **** if they didn't. Although I thought we should have been automatics too last season with the squad we had.
Already on Twiitter all the stuff about who can blame him for not wanting to come to us etc. It really don't help. I know everyone is miserable but can we stop wallowing in it quite so much. Another tweet said we might as well sell Maguire as (quote) everyone else has left. Last time I checked we had lost one player, not everyone.

Anybody listen to Gillum Lloyd just now try and play devil's advocate for the Allams on Blunderside? He came across as a right moron in the process (granted, that doesn't take much).
The guest presenter read out a text having a go at the Allams for all the ****e over the last few years. Gwilym said "I bet they weren't saying that when they saved the club from liquidation."
