Hey guys Ladbrokes and other bookies have this sheet available now as a bet. Basically, the concept is this - 92 teams - 46 match ups. You bet on one team to finish infront of another for the season ! Odds for each are 4/9 at worst and 11/10 at best approximately ! Heres some examples ( sorry I don't have the coupon on me ) Man Utd v Chelsea M City v Arsenal Liverpool v Spurs Everton v Villa WBA v QPR Leicester v W Ham Ipswich v Southampton Cardiff v Blackpool Sheff Wendy v Hudd Bristol Rovers v Shrewsbury Now THIS would really confirm what you actually know ! The bets have to be placed by the first game of the season ( So obviously the August transfer window with late deals could really mess up your bet !!! ) However, I have scanned it and put £4.50 on the following 7 selections- Liverpool to do Spurs - Liverpool look good to me, Spurs lacking players... WBA to do QPR - Taraabt rumoured to be off, Warnock unhappy with budget, WBA look good under Hodg Leicester to do West Ham - Leicester to win the league for moi... Ipswich to beat Saints - I think we could go well and unsure about Saints ? ! From a bet perspective PLEASE sell Chamberlain Brighton to beat Burnley - I fancy Brighton to be top 10, Burnley just sold Eagles. My mate went to Rovers v Burnley friendly and he's convinced their in a right mess Portsmouth to beat Millwall - I think Pompey could do better this time around and Millwall not so well £4.50 would return....£203. This really will show just how well you all know the leagues !
Dont really understand this Westlake - do you just pick random matches to predict? Is it an accumulator?
yep , its an acca 46 bets possible, as 92 clubs in the league and ur betting on 1 to beat the other simply pick the team to finish higher up the table, 46 bets available...!
Sounds good, although my knowledge of leagues one and two are poor. Anyone got some tips for the lower leagues?
Westy . just been into ladbrokes to get this coupon and the bloke at the till has never heard of it . Sounds interesting tho . are you sure ladbrokes do it and what is the coupon actually called . coyb
absolutely 100% positive as do most other bookies they have price on the computer for premiership and championship at absolute worst http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/season-match-bets heres one example.....
Right, got the coupon infront of me ! Its a pink top.... and its called - Handicap + Match Betting Ante-Post betting on the premier league and football leagues 2011/12. Its got the match up bet I was on about, which is " divisional match betting " Theres also another bet, which is " divisional handicap betting " Basically each side are approximately 18-1 given a handicap of points to win the league. Take the premiership for example.... Bolton are 14-1 with a +37 point start to win the league. Ipswich are 18-1 +13 points in the championship. Barnsley are 18-1 +29 points in the championship. So yep, the form does exist !
Guys in town centre ladbrokes had no idea how the divisonal match betting part worked. I kept asking how to score the boxes correctly and they just guessed. Worringly my betting slip doesn't even tell me what the winnings would be, most probably because the odds are so ridiculous due to me going crazy and picking about 20 different match ups in one acca! The handicap sounds far too complicated!
