Transfer thread for 2016-17 season

I think the fee is about right tbh. He had a good, full season in the Championship with Brentford the season before last. Last season was a write-off through injury basically.
Look at some of the prices for players coming out the Championship nowadays.

He's one of those players where you watch him play and think "he _could_ make it at Spurs". "Could" being the key word there. The management think not and £8m is a fair price in this market for a player in his position, of his nationality, age, and with a decent season in the Championship behind him.

 

I hope he fulfils his potential. He will be in good hands at Brighton with Chris Hughton who will look after him.

A few seasons ago, Pritchard gave some of the best performances I have seen from a Spurs youth player. He looked a future top class player. He'll do well at Brighton and he'll have a good career.

Pritchard update: Norwich have supposedly submitted a late bid in an attempt to gazump Brighton.

 

Hmm...much of a muchness for him really but probably better for him to develop under Hughton. Norwich had that £10m McCormack bid rejected so it makes sense that they've got money knocking about for an attacking player.

 

Replacement for Redmond, presumably.

 

I saw a random tweet this morning mentioning Pritchard and Norwich, but thought it was someone just trying to mug people off. This person was adamant that he is going to Norwich and not Brighton. Looks like that might be the case.

 

Fazio off to Roma and Pritchard off to Norwich. Those are 2 good moves for the players involved to good clubs, I hope they do well. Noticeable that the player left twiddling his thumbs is Nabil Bentaleb. Could it be that his prima donna attitude is putting people off? I hope he sorts out what and who is important in his life and gets back on with being a good footballer.

 

Lovable bellend Wojiceh Szczescezncyzcny is apparently off to Roma on a permanent for £13m. He has less than 2 years left on his contract.

We signed Hugo for £12m.

Right, I saw this and it made me think of the amounts we're paying for the likes of Janssen and N'Koudou - I hope we're spending our money more wisely than Roma (I think that's quite likely tbf)
