Ouch - that is very cutting.

Spurs are a small club from London who think they are a big club despite not winning a league title since God was a boy.

'Tottenham 's £17million new-boy Vincent Janssen has admitted that he’s only here for the money.'

Future Spurs flop Vincent Janssen has sensationally admitted that he's only joined Spurs due to money. Saying that he would have been happy to have stayed in Holland. In a barely disguised swipe at Spurs' 'small club' mentality he said '“I would have been happy to play in Holland for a big club, but I can see the point of selling me to an English club'.

There's only two clubs who have the right to even smile, Leicester and The Goons. The rest of you finished behind us!...<ok>

    Yup.
    Wont happen this season though.
Chelsea and United will both be above Spurs imo.
I think Spurs may sneak 4th though, if Arsenal continue their transfer market blundering and Liverpool fail to sign someone of note.

Klopp rarely does that. He prefers team work and improving the players he has, often turning them into household names.
Watch out for Grujic after Klopp has put his stamp on him, I personally have very high hopes for this lad.

Very happy with our business this window, including the outgoings.

We'll finish above Spurs, without doubt...

Just waiting for a LB and we're good to go <ok>

Next season looks wide open, again!

Utd, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool. And I don't think Leicester will just go away quietly as some seem to think. Ok, I don't think they'll win it again, but they have all of last season's squad, bar Kante.

From Spurs' point of view, we have a settled squad, a top manager who's been there a couple of years now. He knows the players well, as do they him. I'm hoping that will give us some advantage over the less settled outfits. Initially, anyway.

  13. Poch will have half a squad that is new. It's going to be a challenge to him to get them all working together.

I think he can do it.

I often think that Arsenal fans are more obsessed with Spurs than the other way round. And in all honesty I am not sure why. Arsenal are more successful than Spurs this is a fact there is no point denying it. I am a Spurs fan and I dislike Arsenal (and Chelsea and West Ham) with a passion. But I have good friends who support all 3 and the banter is great.

It is also a fact that the Tottenham of the last decade is a much more consistent side than probably any Spurs team in history and we are now at least holding our own, and punching at and above our financial weight. Our capitulation at the end of last season was disappointing, but not because we finished below Arsenal but because we could (and should) have finished 2nd.

I am looking forward to the new season and a 2nd Champions league campaign, but I know that it is going very difficult to match last seasons 3rd place finish, I see an even stronger league with every one of the challengers stronger than they were a year ago. Maybe once we have the stadium in place and we are in a more competitive financial position we may be able to sustain a league challenge who knows, I am certainly not going to suggest that we will be beating everyone in the future I am A Spurs fan and most of us tend to be on the pessimistic side!

I won’t wish you good luck for the coming season if you are of a red, blue (or some awful mixture of the two) persuasion, in fact I hope that its long painful season for you all, and I look forward to reading all about the ups and downs here and a having a good laugh. (As no doubt you will if the wheels come off for us – again).

Good post. Thanks for acknowledging the facts - some Spurs fans on here do not like facts.
I too have mates who support Spurs and other London teams - my QPR mate died a couple of years ago - and mates who support United & 'Pool. And one who is a Villa fan. The banter is part of football and will always be.
good luck to Spurs and hope you end up above Liverpool and below us as usual.

This must be, what the 6 the year you have said this, is it going to be one of those situations where you just keep saying it and hope that eventually you will be proved correct, so you can then say, i called it correct, forgetting the previous 10 years that you said we would finally drop out of the top 4, i would be much more worried about your own transfer dealings.

Don't get me wrong I can obsess with the best of them, I never tire of seeing 'Nayim from the Half way line' or hearing Barry Davies 'School boys own stufff' commentary and I also understand Arsenal fans laughing when we capitulate as we did in May for them it was wonderful. However you do wonder given the huge financial advantage that you currently enjoy whether just creeping over the line ahead of us is that much of an achievement.

As for HIAG, to me you seem to be very similar you both post some decent stuff, you both post some incredibly inane and ridiculously biased rubbish and in all honesty once a thread decends into a pissing competition between the 2 of you (which they often do) I know thats its time get out and leave you to it!
