    Was Ziege really that bad defensively or was it the fact that he was usually playing next to 2 incompetent CB's with an incompetent DM in front of him that made him look worse than he actually was? I'm cognizant of the fact that he became one of my favourite players when I was 13 or 14 so it could've simply been down to his awesome free kicks more than his actual ability. He did play for Bayern and AC Milan before moving to England so he can't have been that bad!

    I was at the Man U game when we were 3 nil up and lost 5-3 and then the city game where we were 3 nil up and lost 4-3. Ziege played in both those games and both scarred me for a long time so I can't think beyond the fact he wasn't great for us!!

    I reckon that's pretty balanced - proven partnerships in the middle and down the flanks, a combination of toughness and finesse at the back, and flair up front, with just enough hard workers around Berbs

    I like this team. Not great in the air and maybe if Friedel had joined us 5 years younger...but that attacking 4 is insane. Berbatov as a number 10 is simply mouth-watering.
