    With the current squad, we've got a lot of options if we do play 4-2-3-1 - many of our current midfielders can play in the defensive or the attacking 3 (Davies, Clasie, Hojberg even JWP) in that system.
    Before the friendlies, it's the formation I was anticipating from comments about Puel's style of play & how he's played before. I'm a big fan of the system, too - and it's what we played under Poch when we were our most entertaining & convincing.

    How can you know that?

    Maybe they wouldn't have taken 500k, but for 1m they would surely have had to consider it.

    They wanted to keep him until after the qualifiers, so the squad wasn't unsettled during them. We accepted their wishes, which meant we got the deal done.

    Forgive me if I read it wrong, but you made it sound like it was the club's fault for waiting. I understood that Celtic said "No deal" until after those games.
