now harry's abandoned his bid to sign Rossi, what Happens next?.all the "top" strikers seem to have been snapped up
I know selling Santi Cazorla for nearly £20million to Malaga means Villareal probably don't need anymore cash this summer so that probably is why we have 'abandoned' our bid.

There again, this one appeared after Bond opened his trap! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...ugh-up-the-cash-and-Luka-Modric-is-yours.html
Yes, I see that The Sun, obviously having exclusive access to the thoughts of Levy, have managed to exclusively, get him to name £35mm as the sum he would accept for Modric. How clever of them to have discovered this, when no-one else has! Is there no beginning to the talents of these News Int'l journalists?
Nsis - I spotted that too , I've heard Harry say more than once I think, that 35 is still nowhere near our valuation...so i couldn't give a toss really, until Everton, if he's on the pitch I'll be happy, if there's an 'injury', I will start giving a toss...err, better re-phrase that, I'll be concerned! I must check the date of our first EL tie, he'd cuptie himself if he has any inclination to go and plays for us in that one.
I'm pretty sure playing in the early stages of the EL (until the CL drop outs enter) doesn't cuptie you for the CL (whereas the reverse does)
Personally Lex, I wouldn't call 32 goals in 56 apparances rubbish. He seems to have got a touch of the 'Gerard Pique' effect, seemingly not great when leaving, but became a much better player after leaving. (although not quite to Pique's level) If not Rossi, then why not try for an old youth hopeful, like Marcus Berg? He surely wouldn't cost much and would be worth a punt considering his previous record.
We looked at whether he'd be cuptied before and it looks like he won't be even if he plays for us in the EL. Plug: http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...ules-another-Modric-based-article-I-m-afraid?
