Unless Mbemba is going I don't see where he can start. Perhaps full back.

Good signing though. He'll stand out in the championship.

Decent signing.

One thing newcastle haven't had in a long time is depth and I think this potential signing is for depth not to replace anyone

mackems saying he is utter gash and we are assembling a team of championship runts...and when we come up we will be stuck with the ****e.....strange breed seem obsessed with how we run our club.

Clark's a very good purchase. Very Rafa-esque, going for full backs who are defenders first. I think Clark will be LB first choice (Janmaat's got to go, surely?). But it's 46 games plus the cups (obviously we'll win the FA Cup, so that's another 7).

Two CB's have left, Colo and Taylor, Two CB's have come in, thats how it should work. No one will leave, I just think £5 for clark is a lot for a 3/4 choice CB. However we have the ACON in Jan and Mbemba will be out, the physicality of the league and more games may mean more cards/suspensions. Rafa is doing what any good manager would and preparing a squad big enough to deal with any forseeable and unforseeable risks.

Is £5 really too much for an International centre/full back?

You have to move on and accept that this season in particular prices are soaring because of the effect of the "Sky" money.

Don't rate him personally but I imagine he is well down the pecking order if he does come in. Horses for courses as usual and easily moved on once you go up.

I do get that prices increase like, but Brede Hangerlaand (incorrect spelling i know) is on a free from palace. If we need a fourth choice CB, then isnt a freebie like him worth a shout for a year?
