162 hours to go and then we shall know ... has it all been worth it, an anticlimatical summer for most with Wales and Iceland showing what the "spirit of team play" really means. we have got some of what we as supporters wanted Lee T, Mathews, Brownhill .... also oDowda, Gary, Magnum and some "extra's " young Johnny, Diego, Lucic It will be interesting to see the first starting line up, looking likely as a 4-3-3 ( 4-3 - 2-1 ) who will it be? compo 's . a bit slow peeps taking them up not so much a compo as a " Did I actually say city would be 7th and Newcastle win the play off's " the 2016/17 top 12 - division forcast's 3PTS AND 5 PTS FORCAST THE WEEKS RESULTS RIGHT RESULT RIGHT SCORELINE Guessit the weekly result of Bristol City home or away including the gate's ( 3 tables in one forcast ! ) Fun Betting pit your wits against the odds, and other 606 er's join in at any time simple game plenty to do and hopefully not a lot to moan about ... please only moan if our average points is less than 1.3 per game
Bit difficult to predict the attendance bearing in mind the Safety mob won't be granting the licence on the West stand until Wednesday...
We're better prepared than last season that's for sure, but this is going to be one tough league. Aside from the likes of Newcastle, Villa and Norwich, lots of clubs will feel they have a chance of the playoffs. Really looking forward to it now. With the run of games we have coming, it would be nice to beat Wigan and Burton to get some points on the board early doors.
I'm trying my best to be positive but think 5 points from our first 5 games is as much as I could hope for. Korey will miss Wigan and O'Neil's knee injury could be anything. Can't see anything from Newcastle and Norwich and maybe a point against Villa. That leaves 4 points from Wigan and Burton - I can't see it. Victor.
So here we almost go again and what will be the outcome. I have seen very little about our pre-season performances posted here and so I have this gut wrenching feeling that we might not have done enough again to meet the needs of what will surely be an extremely difficult campaign. One of the things that has surprised me somewhat over the summer is that we have brought in a wide variety of players from some notable clubs, presumably to add strength and experience, but already some concerns have arisen when O'Neill has an injury and Lucic is supposed to be going out on loan (Post?). Seeing as we are less than a week away from the real kick-off does anyone out there see us as better than last time out or are we just covering the cracks? I gather things have changed on the transfer front from last season and it leaves me wondering what if we are not competitive enough from the start what options will then be open to us to enhance the squad while the season is underway? With the business we have already done where does that leave us in the FFP department, and what monies are still potentially available to splash out should Lee decide he needs to improve the squad at some future date? Lot's of questions and soon the answers will start coming our way. With regard to the upper deck being opened after the safety inspection I hope they don't use the same government department that refused to allow some kippers to go to market because the packaging didn't say "may contain fish". Have a great season everybody and a warm welcome from Canada EH.
THEY seem to think all available seats available at the present time are sold... so is that the 16,000 we had available last season plus whatever the west stand is giving us without the top tier? or is it an amended Ateyo number, downwards, plus the new West stand lower tier? Thought I read somewhere capacity was about 21,000 ?
on evening news said west stand is 11,000 so take out 3500?? for top section = 23,500 Ateyo only half full? so I guess circa 21000 will be it
