Helping the needy like mourinho who looks more like a tramp every year...

    Good for him.

Anoyone remember when women swooned over mourinho 12 years ago when he turned up and now hes juat aged very badly.

Aston Villa are likely to sell Senegal international Idrissa Gana, 26, to Everton in a £7.1m deal this weekend.

I think we all have to just admit the pecking order is well and truely in evidence.

Chelsea utd and city can have anyone they want
    Arsenal can underbid for anyone.

    Spurs are ****.

Then everton west ham, palace and the rest live on scraps and get turned down all the time.

Lfc have the great position of chasing unrealistic targets clubs like drtmund buy (as on 4vplayers this summer?) Then we go grossly over pay for midtable prem teams players.

Of grossly overpaying for midtable Players?

Or knowing the natural pecking order is still there despite all the Money?

Cos most midtable players are like lallana?

Though knowing west ham southampton and everton will just be always laughed at by big players is no negative.

I'm not a fan of continuously overspending on midtable players but at least GW and Mane add much needed pace and direct running to the team.

We've added the above and also much needed physicality and height (Grujic and Matip.)

Now we need intelligence and control. Still hoping for Dahoud.

We've just paid the going rate for PL-proven players (Mane, Winjaldum) and massively underpaid for PL-unproven players (Matip, Grujic, Karius).

    Proven to do what?

You are right though we got 3 players there for less than on 18 year old english player would cost. Certainly wouldnt deny that.

Wini Pl proven - well he has played in the PL what he proved is open to argument
Mane - yep proven in PL as a dangerous but very inconsistent performer
the other 3 is based on your extensive knowledge of them i take it

just thought i'd be neighbourly and save Tobes Diego and Trebs the time

Fs... least Karius will escape the fume if we have a bad start.

We're in a bad position in the market. Too good to buy 'maybes' like Hojberg or Mane (from Austrian football)... so they go to stepping stone clubs. Then we buy them because we aren't good enough (at the moment) to sign the category like Dembele. So we are stuck until we get success on the pitch or vastly improve our scouting and put utter faith in it.

We have got deals in the recent past after all. Can and Coutinho for eg. Our big coup in that time has been Firmino alone really, in that category above 'maybe'. The rest... all players who have proved themselves at a stepping stone club. Clyne, Lallana, Allen, Mane, Mignolet etc.

And if they succeed we have to accept that we too are another category of stepping stone currently.
