The Nassau Stakes looks like a penalty kick for Minding if the fast ground is not her undoing. Two of her opponents, Swiss Range and Jemayel were eighth and ninth in the Prix de Diane but it was a typical French race and having been there a blanket would have covered most of the field so the form is worthless. Beautiful Romance has it all to prove after disappointing last time at Ascot.

Generally having no interest in twenty-eight runner cavalry charges, I will leave the Stewards’ Cup and Stewards’ Sprint to everyone else. Chelsea not the only one drawing a Glorious Goodwood blank, so one last try:

In the second, there is plenty of form to go on and Mark Johnston has three fair chances, the best of which may be Jaameh at the bottom of the weights. At the top of the handicap Move Up steps up in trip but has 6lb more to carry than when winning in a photo at Ascot. Knights Table cannot be ignored but the 8lb hike for completing his hat-trick (beating Jaameh by two lengths) may stop his sequence. Gold Faith’s 6lb rise does not look excessive for his easy win at HQ and he will go close. Sir Michael Stoute won this last year with Dartmouth and I think a repeat is on the cards in the form of SHABBAH, easy winner of three races (for Ryan Moore) before going down by a head to Manjaam last time (for Ted Durcan), where Dal Harraild was another head third.

Too many small fields and short prices at HQ, so I had best find something else to do today as the other cards make little appeal (low grade races at Doncaster and little decent form at Thirsk)...

Hiya, Reebok. I'm fine, thanks. I trust you are well and backing a few winners.
I don't bother much with the Flat, though. Kind regards and look after yourself.

Afternoon Tam. Didn't even notice it was running but, on inspection, the form is much better than it looks at first glance. Good luck with that one. <cheers>

Master Blueyes totally blocked off there and not beaten far. Would not have won but these were decent horses. Must win when returning to C4 races on a sound surface over 12f.

Galway 5.00-Cairdiul win 9/2-Local man Iggy Madden would love a winner here and this lad was very unlucky to be beaten by a neck in the Tote hcap during the week. Beau Satchel is the obvious danger but Cairdiul deserves a turn of luck and can hopefully take this for good old Iggy.
