Id be happy with Zola.. Id actually like us to get a manager who would do well in the Championship because at this rate we are going down.. Im certain Martinez would have a get out clause if we were to be relegated.
I think British managers in the Premiership are a dying breed.. Eddie Howe might be an exception, Dyche maybe, but if they left their jobs I think with some certainty that they'd be replaced with foreign managers. Actually same with Stoke and West Brom. If Martinez did come here and we bombed, I don't think a get out clause would exist. He'd be lucky to still be in a job.
Who ever the manager is and its looking like the middle of next week before we will know then that will leave us around 9/10 days to bring in how many players ?, 6,7,8, if not we play some of the young lads in the team which when going from playing at North Ferriby at a low standard to suddenly been involved with the first team in the premiership is expecting far too much. We will all have to see what comes of the week ahead but what a sad situation. Everyone who I know cant believe what's going on, anyway what's gone has gone there's not a lot we can change now but trying to stay positive is so difficult. Lets hope for some positive news next week I've joined the membership but want to see a team that competes, and yes like every city fan whether you go or not I want us all to be excited again about supporting city, lads on here who suddenly want to go back to the kc, people who don't go but mentioning Hull City for the right reasons on a Monday morning in fact all week, the thing is we are a premier league football team in a fairly big city but because of our situation with the present owners are been held back and you would not believe we are in the premiership. Anyway two weeks tomorrow we go into the 2016/17 season as one of the top 20 teams in English football with a new manager and hopefully a number of decent new premiership footballers that we are waiting to see?, one sad thing that there will be a lot more City fans who will be watching on the tv or listening to the commentary who should be there but because of all this off the field activities will not be and that is really sad. Anyway trying to be positive a new good manager , a number of new good players, in the near future new good owners and a very big welcome to some new good old fans getting behind the team again and just one more staying up would be the an incredible ending to a very sad beginning.
Ah well, that's were you made your mistake then maybe, might get a recycled Phelan maybe Reasons to be cheerful..................none!
yes but when you gone and seen the sad times I have and I'm talking about 2/3000 in the old third division ? its hard to walk away, new manager again ? reasons to cheerful at this moment in time I avent any but who has. how do I feel has a fan of 47 years totally p***** off but been a city fan of all that time I live in hope
That's exactly what I've done - walked away. I have had a season pass every season for years and years. It's going to hurt not going. But **** the Allams - had enough of the pair of dopey twats. I'll start again the minute they have have ****ed off - not before.
i was one of the 2000/3000 johnbos talking about some of the worst and best football imaginable!!! But i am with you GLP i have totally lost heart and interest in city never imagined it possible...... but when there gone im back...... lets hope its sooner rather than later!
I try to give it up, but I've always said, through everything, I'll always support them. No matter which league. It really doesn't matter to me what's going on, once I know City are playing I always need to know the score, no matter what. I'm not a season ticket holder, never have been, worked away for years so missed most of the games, but I've always tried to keep in touch with how we do. There's just something about 3pm Saturday afternoon, can't resist it!
No problem Brucebones, it"s what true supporters do - support the team through thick and thin. It"s what the vast majority of supporters do - they support the team.
David Burns @bbcburnsy Sources suggest @hullcity want @FAWales manager Chris Coleman as new boss. Ball is in Coleman's court. No comment from club. #hcafc Rumours that Martinez has turned it down.
That City team that got relegated to div 4 contained great larkers who were easily superior div 2 players (as it turned out). Tony Norman Gordon Nisbet Paul Haigh Gareth Roberts Keith Edwards Steve McLaren Brian Marwood Billy Whitehurst Les Mutrie Finished bottom of the table in 80/81.
Hmmm tough call for Coleman....manage your country to a probable world cup qualification, amid unprecedented enthusiasm....or join a fractured basket case of a club managed by a chippy, spiteful, idosyncratic, bungling, vindictive, misanthropic, mendacious father and son, who are utterly clueless about football.
Other than for financial reasons, why would anyone want the job, there is no glory to be had here. We are nailed on sub 20 points and it's going to be pretty embarrassing. Whoever reluctantly takes over will have a week to assemble something that looks like a team.
