That's just wrong just one game Arsenal away Ayew out wide with Routledge the other side and the goalscorers were Routledge and Williams.
I think that's the only game we won with Ayew out wide under Guidolin , might be wrong I'll check . Point being the team and the other players playing played better when Ayew wasn't playing the wing .
Ayew was on the winkg when we beat Chelsea also . Monk won 3 games . Curtis won 2 games . Guidolin won 7 games .....with a lot of players scoring that never scored under Monk and Curtis I was just going off the top of my head with my remarks , over all ...the team played better with Ayew not playing the wing was the point I was trying to make .
But he's not a loss to us I think, what's he scored in the last 4-5 seasons? Less than 10 goals, I know it's about getting on the field, but he's a championship player at best.
Is Barrow a striker? If so I bow to your superior knowledge, but every game for us he has played on the wing............
That wasn't a proper trial of their abilities, I think a better test will be the friendlies back here.
Gomis finally gone according to the BBC site - Marseille apparently paying full wages which is a bonus. Wonder if Ayew will be next. Surprised this isn't a sticky yet given first team players are only heading in one direction (Fer the exception).
If there is one thing that's going very healthily , is the dismantling . The one way traffic is a bit odd , but at least it's only from 1 position and if Ayew stays and another striker comes in or if Ayew leaves and 2 strikers come in ....all will be fine .
I'm quite concerned at the lack of signings to be honest. Season is fast approaching so we should have had a striker or 2 in by now. They signed the lad from Ajax before a striker so there's no excuse blaming it on the takeover. If Ayew goes I don't think it'll hurt us too much as long as we get a good striker in beforehand. Leaving him go before getting the striver we need could see us start the new season without one. If that happens then I'll lose some faith in HJ. Maybe they're using a bit of psychology on the fans, dragging it out this far so when we get Robson-Kanu everyone will be ecstatic because at least it wasn't Crouch. On the possible Llorente link, I'd be pleased with him. He's the sort of striker I'd like for us and hoped we'd had since Bony left. Him and Sigs could work really well together. Keeping Sigs is a must though to have a big front man. Might be difficult to keep him when he sees Ayew and all our strikers going.
I think I will take Llorente at the right price but still concerned we are signing a 31 year old on a 3 year contract, when roof muted RVP everyone slaughtered him because of his age yet we will have a 34 year old up front eventually, but then we need him this year and the only way to get him is to offer a 3 year then we do it. I will be gutted if we sign either Robson Kanu or crouch, simply not what we need. I am changing my mind a bit on Ulloa, simply because we need 2 and he and Llorente are the best we have been linked to.
Well if the press are to be believed, Everton want Williams £10M, Siggy £25M and Ayew to West Ham £15 million thats the heart of the squad gone! I don't believe for a second that all this will happen.
