I'm so ****ing proud we ****ed his plans. Especially on the name change. People were so keen to tell me "You'll never win against the money man". Well ****ing wrong HCAFC
In his eyes we're all tied up together in this because the fans didn't 'protest' when the council refused him the freehold. I'm sure there's an interview somewhere that confirms his frustration and incredulity with us for not storming the Guildhall with pitchforks and burning torches. It explains a lot regarding the punitive measures he's since inflicted on the fans and club.
..........and since that meeting what developments have we seen from the council on West Park, HU3, Walton Street ?
None. The Council said they made a number of overtures to Assem Allam to develop the site, via Alan Johnson and others. All were refused.
My question was what have the council done themselves ? Holding a circus and car boot sale don't count.
I thought "none" covered that. The Council have done sweet fa about developing the site apart from trying to get on Assem Allam's good side.
I've not heard anything first hand, just thought it was very common knowledge that aa asked for the council to hand over the kc for nothing as a "gift to the people of hull". If I am wrong, so be it, probably read it on here to be honest.
I can remember being in the minority at work (not so much on here), for having the opinion that the freehold of the stadium should stay with the Council, and should not be sold to a private individual to do with as they please. As long as we have the Stadium we have somewhere to play regardless of division/owners. Imagine if this pair of ****s actually owned the ground, the locks they would use would make David Lloyds look like the ones you put on your suitcase on holiday.
You are right. Council ownership of the kc will be valuable when the club inevitably ends up in administration down the line.
I think that anyone who got upset over Allams off-the-cuff 'they can die when they want" comment is a soppy ****.
It's an interesting stance. So, for example, if the boss of Asda said customers "can die when they want" do you think people would still shop there?
