Anyone on here follow Gateshead FC? Any chance of creating a thread about them in the non-league section? I wouldn't feel right starting it, not being a fan and all...

There's plenty to talk about for the Conference club, new stadium plans, the league campaign and from a Newcastle point of view, two of our players are currently there on loan, Edmundsson and Tavernier.

Anyone up for the job of keeping a Heed thread up-to-date?

I think there was a couple of lads on the Gateshead board on old 606. I would post a message if I hadn't just got myself banned for telling Boro supporters that they finger their grannies.

I keep an eye on Gateshead (being born their) but I don't really know enough to keep a thread up to date.

Doesn't really have to be closely monitored tbh, just created and added to if there's any major incident (eg. Getting promoted, loaning another Toon lad, signing Messi). <ok>

I might have to start one then. Suppose now I think about it it wouldn't take much like. Should have really kept my 606 account though to try and recruit couple of true fans for it.

Just had a look at the Non-league forum and will def be getting one going soon. Want to get a decent layout though.

    Nice one. <ok>

Now they've gone pro it'll be interesting to see how far Gateshead can go! The chairman Graham Wood seems like the real deal and he's stated his ambition is to see the club into League 1 (though is realistic that they'd struggle to get much further). The new stadium plans look ace!
